@stormbreakerfreak Yoyo strings can be replaced. It was probably a cotton string. Those break quite easily. You can always get more string on the YoTricks website if you need it.
@TheHaloBetrayer1 I have never seen that happen... I have heard that petroleum distillates can crack plastic yoyos, but I am not sure if the same thing is true of petroleum jelly.
@ElementWoIf If you changed the string it is possible that you put it on wrong. If so take a look at our video about replacing the string. Do a Youtube search for:
learn how to replace a yoyo string
and it will show you how. If you did not change the string I recommend you take the string off and put it back on and see if that helps.
@ArgosaxPower In this video we are using the Originator, but for an all around good yoyo I recommend the Luminator. You can get it on YoTricks. If you get it in a kit (like the Advanced Kit) it works even better.
If I had to guess at what you meant I suppose it is true that when you catch the yoyo the string is in your hand backwards. That is the case if you catch the yoyo palm down, but one way to solve this problem is if you turn your hand over and allow the yoyo to fall into your hand palm up. Then it will fall into your hand and the yoyo and string will be facing the right direction.
Of course, you may have been talking about something else :)
how do you do this with an unresponsive yoyo.. i try to bind it but it just never comes up =( i have a YYF Whip.and i feel im learning pretty quick and this would just help me so much =(please help D=
@RsExTeel What kind of yoyo is it? Most often when this happens either the yoyo isn't designed to sleep, or there is a knot in the string around the axle. If there is a knot around the axle then the string usually needs to be replaced. If it is a ball bearing yoyo the string may be caught between the bearing and the yoyo. If this is happening you need to take the yoyo apart, remove the string, then put the yoyo back together and then put the string back on.
@SkaterzRule44 When I am learning most tricks I use a yoyo in the butterfly shape. However, if I am learning how to loop I use a thinner yoyo. If you are just getting into yoyoing you can's do better than the Luminator and the Dominator that we sell on YoTricks. However, if you are getting into some of the expert tricks you should pick up an Unresponsive yoyo. There are plenty of good unresponsive yoyos out there, but you should know a few string tricks before you try them out.
what about a unresponsive yoyo how can you get it to just start spinning instead of coming back to my hand? so i can bind it up? i saw jensin kimmitt do something like that so thats why im asking?
@birdystyle1 I posted a video about binding and for about the last minute of the video I teach how to wind an unresponsive yoyo. Do a search for Learn how to Bind a Yoyo and look for the blue backdrop.
@yotricks ohh thanks i already no how to bing i just dont no how to like snap start one since its a butterfly shape i cant really snap it but i will check that video out!:)

@yotricks what yoyo can you recomend for only unresponsive tricks?
lolplayism 1 week ago
@lolplayism It all depends on how much you want to spend. If you are just getting into Unresponsive the YoyoFactory One is a good choice.

nice, but any tips on to stop it hurting ur finger so much?
ArgosaxPower 1 month ago
@ArgosaxPower That just takes time. Over time your finger will toughen up and get a callous so it will not hurt so much.

@yotricks what type of yo-yo do you use? Is it a butterfly with a clutch or just a normal one with a clutch?
SkaterzRule44 3 months ago
@yotricks Does this work with no bearing yoyo's?
Hycyber 3 months ago
@Hycyber This trick is difficult if your yoyo does not sleep, but if you have a yoyo without a bearing that does sleep it should work fine.
