@theturtlelover11 Lol wat do u think a ybs is... Shows how much u know. They are not ybs. 1 is a Cumberland slider. Another is a Florida red belly. And the other is a false map turtle. You really should do ur research.
helloooo! i have 1 terrapin which is 9 years old and another which is around 6. the older one is more than 2x the size of the younger one. i keep them in separate tanks since forever and was wondering if its ok for me to place them together in the same tank..?
@jinkypoodle i dont see why not. just keep a close eye on them for a few days make sure they dnt fight etc etc. as long as there is enough space... (followin the shell size rule).
What's ventilation? I keep my lid closed in the morning (there are still holes) and half opened in the evening and night - morning. Cleaning...I clean it everyday if it has food ( pateletts) if they are soaked...and they are dust..should i clean it every week instead of every day?
@0909Pilot dont have a lid on it at all. take the lid off. just dont fill it all the way up with water...dont want them to escape :). they dont need to be cleaned everyday. once a week if fine :)
Thanks for making this! it was great! I just aquired young Terrapin and had no idea what I was doing, thank God for helpful posts like yours, VERY helpful! :-)
1 is fine. if ur new to terrapins, dont get more than one. if ur a beginner, as stated below, a ybs or cumberland would be recommended. the temp they need 2 be kept at is between 22 - 26 degree C. all the info u'll need to care for them is in this video. after watching the vid, and still not sure. dont hesitate to ask questions.
they are not suppost to be kept at 2 degree C. it's between 24-26 degree C. 2 degree C will most likely kill them from catching dieseases. if you have terrapins and your keeping them at that temp (2 degree C)... redo your research so you can look after them properly.
Erm... I don't think that's right. They are both different animals. The difference between them is that terrapins live in freshwater unlike turtles. Anyway like the video! I've got 2 terrapins as well, I call them Fiji and Felix.
omg who's actually read this its soo boring go on my vid its betta ! :D

Just to make clear for anyone watching that and wonder why they kept saying terrapin instead of turtle. British english call all turtles terrapins
