I must confess: This video is the *only* reason I emailed Abbey Road about my project's booking for next year. Surprisingly enough, it's within budget, so guess who gets to 90% for sure go to London to record an album at Abbey Road?
Studerj could you get me into abbey road studio I know how to play Let it be. On piano. I am 13 and that would be my only dream to get my family out of this finicial crisis. Please reply or send me PM saying if you can.
@Ninjajohnny19 man im 15 and wish i could afford it too man. are you in US, the economy sucks!! What i'd do to have a band yet along a chance to record in abbey road
Like the video! I was outside taking pictures and at the crosswalk this past August. Would love to have an opportunity to go through the place and even a chance to do some work there. I like your version of Blackbird as well.
I had a dream of this place and I've never seen it. We were playing there, there was another group before us (in the dream) so we had to wait with our equipment and we also used some stuff from the group before us after they were done because we really enjoyed what kind of sounds the instuments made. Haha. But was just a dream.
Viewing the stairs and the room brought back the dream.
Wow! I can only imagine how magical it must have been to be inside Studio 2, let alone RECORD there! Congrats on the recording too, it sounds wonderful!
Booking time, maybe? Actually, this big studios are starting to make "plans" for people on a budget, that can't afford the full studio price and stuff.
Yea couldnt beleive my luck. He does speak to him but not very often. Theyve produced music together and my Uncle has interviewed him a few times. But I dont see my Uncle very often.
Nice job. Great version. Sound is pretty smailar. You are a good musican. I like this clip. I'm a beatl'e fan and my dad too. Best wishes from Poland. Sorry for my poor english :) Beatles and Abbey Road Studio Rulez
Very good cover. You got the McCartney sound. And that possibly also thanx to the studios. The video is also an homage to the famous studios, thanx for sharing. I had the privilege to visit the studios for a special event (the preview of a theatrical musical).
I was so happy to stumble upon this one...you have an amazing talent...thanks for showing us the studio as well....almost made me cry thinking how much I miss the Beatles...great job!
Very, very, very good, I dont speak english a lot, but it is a wonderful video, that shows how a dream can be a reallity, thanks for shared. Best Regards from México.
Sorry for finding this so late. I have a feeling even big time musicians when first recording here are a bit overcome. Were any of the control room guys old timers from back in the day with stories to pass on?
I actually cracked a little tear for this. How moving it must have been to be able to do this. And what a great tribute. Even if it took three takes your performance is stunning and Paul would be very impressed. I guess the pilgrims at Mecca must feel this way EH?
It was a surreal moment. Jens didn't realize how much if affected the rest of us. To watch him achieve a dream was incredible. To have full run of Abbey Road for a day....priceless.
Thanks!!!! It was surreal. At one point I felt that it trying to repeat something impossible. Man, I was nervous.... And I always felt I could have done the song better...( I know that's my problem) But It was a very nice dream. I would like to dream it again. Say hello to Mike and John and his family. from me. best regards Jens (on vacation in Egypt)
For years,I had been talking about going to London...just to walk across the "Zebra" - and luckily I ended up playing in the studio on my first trip....
Great singing voice, great guitar-playing, and I love that sort of clicking voice(you keeping the beat with your foot?) which you can hear in the original version as well =)
I don't think I'll ever find a version that's better than the original, but this is a GREAT version! Good job, keep it up! =)
wow cool check out my cover... also, how did you get the chance to play at abbey road i would love to do that so much.. the piano in the background..is that the same one paul played..is the one from the 60's?
Hmmm...Yeah. Revolution #9 certainly isn't one of those 'hum while you work' tunes, but it was quite powerful...the lads were just branching out and pushing us in new directions. Some bits of r#9 really stick in my mind...the 'serviceable villain' bit for some reason (could be Olivier reciting Shakespeare?), and the 'take this brother - may it serve you well' (I use that one on my brother on occasions)...No one's covered it to my knowledge...hard to believe. Anyone out there got any info?
don't get me wrong. I haven't heard any covers that are better than the originals, but there are some that are very very good nonetheless. By the way did you realise that it's 40 years today (11 June) since Blackbird was recorded???
Hi. The best covers don't necessarily try to copy...What would be the point? An original song can provide a platform for other artists to interpret and pay homage...This version was a nice copy of the original.
Fantastic! Singing in a foreign language, in Abbey Rd. How cool are you?.. You played really well, and given the place and time I'm sure you wouldn't have made the most minor of slip ups. Well done, you lucky ( insert English word for git(in the nicest possible way)). LOL
Nice recording. I like how you did the Abbey Road picture at the end too. I've always been a major Zepp fan, but The Beatles are really starting to overtake them in my listening priorty. Peace on Earth :)
Wow that's great...good job. I went to an auction in 2006 in studio one and afterwards someone let me in studio 2. I'll never forget the magical feeling I got when I walked into both studios especially studio2...the mecca!
Yes !! I was at a classical recording in studio 1 once....I went off to wander around and was able to go into a deserted studio 2...un-decorated since the 60's I think. It was a surreal experience, to be alone where so many great recordings have been made.
You have to pay for the privilege! Anyone can book time in the studio. The cost is extremely high, though. We've been waiting for the exchange rate between the US and the UK to improve to do another day or two there, but things are going in the other direction of late.

@peacemonger1967
What would you record if you happened to be in Abbey road studio?
Of course it was an egotrip. Wasn´t meant to be anything else.
I loved it - it was one of the greatest moments of my life.
Other would chose to sit in a Ferrari, take a ride with a Flying Fortress, pararachute tandem etc.
I´ll return that:
Why don´t YOU do your own music....?
You just have other peoples music on your youtube account
