I know this tutorial is over a year old but I just became familiar about emulating the PS1. I followed your steps, everything downloaded except for one thing, the folder that says ecm tools. Is this version outdated or what's the deal?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
hello, sorry for such a delayed reply, but when you open the program, you go to File/Game and click Attach Disc Image or something along those lines, select your ISO and play!
Both PS1 and 2 controllers work on this emulator as well as on ePSXe. Consider buying a usb adapter for PlayStation controllers, they cost about £10 in shops, less online but you will have to pay for cost of posting.
Now do you HAVE to burn the games onto a CD, load it in the PC through the emulator? Most emulators I use just have you pick a ROM and play it, some need it extracted. I do have disks, but that would be a little inconvinient.
so I did the ecm to image file trick, what do I do with the ccd and sub file? I just put theme in the same folder as the image file but I'm not really sure if I was supposed to do more or not
your doing everything right. you dont need to have the ccd or sub files but just keep them in the same folder as the IMG file. when your playing a game, select the IMG file as your disc image, and voila! thanks for watching
Thanks for the advice bud : ) finally maybe I'lll fiinish xenogears now! Ive had some problems with the cgi videos/ in game movies/ fmvs or whatever crashing on spyro 3 and gex 3 and not working right, but meh good enough
I'm not sure exactly, as I have seen in the settings that there is a PS2 BIOS option, but I dont have any links for PS2 ISOs so im not exactly sure if it is able to play them.
PSX is a PS2 console.. Dont use "PSX" to name a PS1

phenomenal1spiderman 2 years ago
yes you would, but when you choose the iso, you would instead choose the attach cd/dvd drive option, not attach iso

Do you hook PS1 controllers into the computer somehow? Do Ps2 controllers work if that's the case?
