Just so the people in the first part of the comments section are corrected. This procedure is totally illegal, and goes against any and all flight manual regulations. There's a reason the power levers on the C-130 have different ranges. There's the "Flight Range" and the "Ground Range". Reverse is in the "Ground Range" and you never move the power levers to the "Ground Range" while you're flying unless you're trying to kill yourself. There are other ways to make this landing.
I think this is a particular of the Herky bird, they use this kind of approach for landing at airfields where there could be hostile fire nearby to minimise the chance of getting fired upon.
Not sure if they use the same procedures you did though...either way, good landing! :D
You can not use it on jets, the drag of them open in mid air can make a jet stall and crash there was one time when a jet (i dont know wich one) had one of its reverse buckets open in mid air it stalled and crashed. Thats why you cant do it on jets. There is one jet you can do it on and thats the concorde it uses it to slow down from super cruise or supersonic cruise you cant use full reverse thrust in mid air but you can use some.
It is legal to do it and pilots use it a lot on short runways. you can use it as much and as long as you want and it will not do any damage to the engines. All its doing is changeing the pitch of the blades and adding some power to the engines thats it.You can even push back the plane with it! There is one thing that you should not do is use it when the engines are off it will cause a HOT START and damage them over repare. I love the C-130K HERCULES. I have the pro one from captain sim forfs2004
this plane has a variable pitch prop, so its possible to reverse in the air. the ones that dont work are mainly the jets, guess it will get damaged way quicker than a turbo prop.
Nice landing indeed. I see what you mean about not being sure if it's legal or not. I'm guessing reversing the engines that long might damage them, I don't know.
Oh, I'm quite sure it's a no no IRL! :)

At the very end, the propellers stopped for a split second and then started back. Is it supposed to do that in real life?

This isn't a "jet". It's a turboprop. The C-130 doesn't have reverse thrust deflectors or anything. Just prop reverse.

is this a download add-on or did you buy it on disk??

In most other sims it won't let you go in reverse thrust while in the air. :(

Good Job! Try a landing at the airport where you come right over that beach. Its somewhere in Florida I think.
