  • isn´t a catfish much bigger ?

  • @DrunkenImpailer

I know that pike get HUGE in Europe, but here in America muskies are bigger. In Wisconsin the state record for Muskie is 69 lbs and the record for pike is 43 lbs or somewhere in that range.

  • Great Video!!!!

  • only so little... :DD

  • are muskie and northern pike like the same thing?

  • @Thealmightygimp Looks can be decieving haha. But no they are not. They actually are the same kind of fish but they have different markings and different sizes. Muskies have stripped camo skin and Pikes have a kidof flower spotted skin. Muskies can also grow to be over 7ft long at the maximum and can weight up to 60 pounds. Pikes can only grow to about 4 feet at the maximum and may weight up to 25 pounds.

  • @DrunkenImpailer Pikes can weight mutch more than 25pounds. They can be as high as 50-55pounds..

  • @Boxardennis Oh hahaha I didn't know they could be that big. Thats awesome!

  • Nice video. We are starting a new line of large topwater plugs, custom to check out.

  • Cool video. But I'm pretty sure muskies are not the biggest. There are even bigger freshwater fish good for fishing like arapaimas (mostly in amazon and thailand).

  • Whats the yellow/black lure at 1:15?? is it a Grandma?

  • @vfalo1 Either that or a Jake

  • "we're just gonna play with you for a minute." hahahahahaha

  • Penis

  • custom 17 inch jerk baits work wonders.

  • i have an idea my dad once caoght a muskie with: catch bluegill ( or any panfish) and use it bait (alive) works like magic

  • @halabi97 thats highly illegal in most places my friend.

  • really?

    i never heard such thing.

were we did that in wisconsin

  • @halabi97 Most of the northern states don't allow use of Panfish as bait, however most coarse fish can be used, (Suckers, cisco etc.) In the southern states, most of them anyway, you can use SOME panfish as bait. In Canada and Europe, no panfish can be used. Just check your regs for baitfish types you can use.

  • that guy said "here we go " million times LOL

  • those arnt the biggist lures there rapalas that are more then hafe the size of the muskie

  • why dont any of these bigshot pro fisherman have a cradle. netting is only meant if you want to keep the fish and it is easier to measure, photograph, and release with a cradle.

  • That looks like a Zander, or Pikeperch. Is it the same?

  • sounds like porn music in the video

  • Pike and muskies the way I tell the difference is by counting the spots underneath it's jaw

  • I have never muskie fished but i am trying it sometime with my dad probably at cave run lake, ky. I have a 9" Bull Dawg lure and another one that is wood and green and has a yellow and orange belly and a black strip down its back and red eyes and twotreble hooks on it. • whats the difference between spinning and baitcast reels ? is it just a matter of preference or theres actually different uses for them?

  • bravo les gars

  • im pretty sure that calling a muskie the largest fish that swims is an EXTREME exaggeration, what happened to wel's catfish

  • Comment removed

  • Muskies take down baby ducks, and that one that was a world record (65 lbs) can eat large ducks and small dogs. I used to live in Upstate NY. And the old timers would staple a wood shingle to the line. 3ft from the shingle, and hooked through the back, was a live mouse. The shingle and mouse go into the water. The mouse tries to swim to shore, gets tired and climbs back onto the shingle, rests and repeats the whole process again, again, until Mr. Muskie can't take it any longer. True!

  • wats the differents between a muskie n a pike?

  • @velconzx Most important dif is the color. pike has greenish patterns on a darker background, muskie has more golden patterns on a lighter background( pike is a darker fish). Other easy dif is the pike has rounded fin and tail tips and the muskie has pointed fin and tail tips. Oh yea and when you catch a pike its like a car pulling, when you catch a muskie its like a train.

  • @velconzx Not a whole lot. There from the same family of fish.

  • IN AUTUMN DUMB AMERICANS

  • it look`s like a pike

  • Why does that guy uses a hat with de SS emblem???? lmao

  • wen eva i use lures and squiddgie that cost 20 bucks each they never work? i go out where they say to go but theres nothing y is this????

  • @drakath726 Are you using the lure the right way?

  • @drakath726 Thats why Muskies are called "Fish of 10,000 casts".

  • holy fucking SHIT! I've never fished muskie before, I can't believe those giant lures are for freshwater fish thats fucking Insane

  • these guys are a little weird

  • In the UK, we call then Pike

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk cause they are pike and not muskie!

  • A muskellunge (Esox masquinongy), also known as a muskelunge, muscallonge, milliganong, or maskinonge (and often abbreviated "muskie" or "musky"), is a large, relatively uncommon freshwater fish of North America. Muskellunge are the largest member of the pike family, Esocidae.

  • The name comes from the Ojibwa word maashkinoozhe, meaning "ugly pike", by way of French masque allongé (modified from the Ojibwa word by folk etymology), "elongated mask."[citation needed] The French common name is masquinongé or maskinongé.Muskellunge are known by a wide variety of trivial names including Ohio muskellunge, Great Lakes muskellunge, barred muskellunge, Ohio River pike, Allegheny River pike, jack pike, unspotted muskellunge and the Wisconsin muskellunge.

  • @ciciaoculo

    Words themselves taken from Wiki

Every fucker loves a smart ass.

I merely referred to what we called them here in the UK which are Pike,

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk

Ahah man you yook it personally. The kind of Pike in UK are called Northern Pike in US. You don't have muskie in UK.

  • @ciciaoculo

What part of member of the Pike family, do you not understand. Coming out with smart ass comments thinking you were; I just commented to say what we call them over here, tat was it. It's a bit like how you call Sea-trout, Steelheads; same fuckin thing, wise ass.

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk No you don't get this. Muskie is Esox masquinongy Northern Pike(that is the one you have in UK) is Esox lucius. Same family, two different species. It's like saying that a brown trout is the same as a rainbow trout...

  • @ciciaoculo

if you want to get smug over it, go ask an expert.

  • this ain't no fucking monster it's a god damn fish... it's a stupid fish that doesn't even look cool.

  • @YummyTacoz909 it means its a giant fish, like this is a monster catch since huskies are usually smaller, they are not saying its a actual monster

  • amazing films pal...In the uk we nearly all fish lures, especially jerks using left hand reels. Our lure choice is getting better thanks to online dealers...my favs are walk the dogs, especially my all time fav the poe's giant jackpot.Unfortunatley with winter here it's back to slow moving bulldawgs and ugly joes.

  • do u use average working gloves fir that?

  • nice fish? its a freakin monster !!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are fishing with ferry strong line its no sports then! A grenade will work to!

  • can u catch muskies in england?

  • From a guy who catches these fish all year long every year.........ITS A MUSKIE (Muskelunge) It looks like a Pike.....BUT ITS NOT A FUCKIN PIKE OK!! Pike are greener and slightly different shape. Found in mostly the same water. There is actually a fish they call a Tiger Muskie which is a cross between a Pike and Muskie. NO MORE TALK OF THIS.......THIS IS A MUSKIE....NOT A PIKE...AND NOT DEBATEABLE.

  • @TheDubDoubt lol i know my fish and thats a pike, fish of the esox genus binomial name esox lucius, but thats for the name like it....

  • @jeremydierx sure is.......muskie are much bigger than pike but pike are more numerous that muskie

  • @jeremydierx Yeah Muskies are a lot more territorial and are a lot bigger
