I recorded this too and lost the tape, it's one of those performances I'll never forget, always wanted to see this again, thanks for posting. Wish Patton would do Introduce Yourself!
Thought I'd never see or hear this again, recorded it on TV in the 90s (from Kerrang I think), then onto cassette, then lost the tape and didn't know the name of the song! Amazing performance
Ahh this takes me back!! I remember watching it on channel 4 as a teenager, thinking FNM was the best band in the world!
Now I watch Scuzz and Kerrang and bands like Linkin Park and Lost Prophets agree with me!! :o)
There is a version I have on bootleg from the phoenix festival, IMO it’s the best live one I have heard… if there is a LIVE vid of that I will cream myself!!
Thank you for uploading this. It's what got me into FNM - I watched it because I wanted to see G n R, but then found FNM were eight million times better.
Fuck me i cannot thank you enough for putting this up... I lost my copy of this years ago... Faith No More are the greatest band ever and Mike Patton is my hero !!!!!
Ha, I remember recording this myself - it was the very moment I fell in love with Patton. I had set to record G n R, who massively paled in comparison. Thank you very much for uploading this.
wow i felt great looking these up till i seen all yer posts, now i feel really old LOL wow its that long ago but feels like a few years back!!! they dont make em like they used too!!!!!!!!!! nowa days bands are hoping for their big break tru by getting a song on a Hollywood movie or some college soap, FNM n lots more back then didnt rely on anyone or anything but their own talent and at that they still didnt give a fukk!!!!!!!!
What a great band. Too bad they called it quits. I remember way back in 1990 FNM and Metallica doing some shows together I think maybe at the end of the Justice tour. What an awesome show that would've been to see
I know that FNM opened some shows on the Guns/Metallica tour. I remember reading(I think, it's been a long time) about FNM while supporting "The Real Thing" playing some shows with Metallica. Like I said it's been a long time ago. Even if it didn't happen, late 80's Metallica with FNM: awesome
I went to the show with FNM opening for Metallica! Guns N Roses were the headliners. Faith No More were excellent! Metallica were commercial with the pryotechnics. And GNR totally sucked. It was because Axel supposedly have a sore throat. What a wuss. The arena started emptying soon after they took stage.
I've always wanted to see FNM live. That tour was a disaster. Metallica commercial with pyro? I don't know, they started using pyro on the Justice tour and it worked pretty good. But during that time period they were pushing and selling themselves as hard as they could. Axl? Yeah, that was the beginning of the end for GNR. On the Use Your Ilusion tour he killed everything that GNR had built and what they were. He and the name GNR have never recovered.
@torgo666 - Thank you so much for uploading this. This Patton version from Rio is my fav FNM song ever and I have never been able to find it. You rock!!!
Thanks for upping, I taped this to watch Guns and Roses not even knowing who Faith no More were, I became an instant fan and still love their music today.
@bobethe - I f**king love chuck, i mean pattons very good - but it took me quite a while to get used to his high pitched voice, i loved chucks punky wail !! Introduce yourself is my favourite FNM album, and Crab song is probably my favourite song off it!!
If there is 1 record i think deserves to be re-recorded with a new singer, its Introduce Yourself with Patton.. Chuck is alright tho but id love to hear it done again
Crab song - Brilliant. This is the first time i heard Mike Patton doing this. Genius. Didn't think it'd be as good as Chuck. Ok it's not AS good but it's pretty amazing.
I still have a video TAPE...ALL THE WAY OLD SCHOOL.....from when this was on Headbangers Ball Live from Rock in Rio....and STILL do a cover of this with one of my bands...killer post!!!!
DUUUUDE! I remember this performance being here a couple years back then got pulled. It pissed me offff. THIS particular performance of it is fucking POWERFUL!
Well, basicly this band save my live when I was a teenager and full of angst... This all happen when I was 16 and year was 1991! Thanks Mike & FNM you save my live!
F**king amazing. Faith No More were the first band I ever saw live, back on November 22nd, 1992 (yes, I remember the date) in Cardiff. About three years back I met Craig Chester, who directed the film 'Adam & Steve', which Roddy Bottum wrote the music to. I told Chester Faith No More were the first band I saw live, and he sent Bottum a text telling him this. Bottum replied with one word, "Awesome". That pretty much made my year, let alone my day.
sério que o patton falou "xuxa chupa pinto de pelé" no show do rock in rio é serio isso ? kkkkkkkkkkkkk fiquei sabendo ae só n sei se é vrdd
