I see pregnant women and women with little children walking into the methadone clinic ALL the time. There's heaps of them. The children are just going to grow up and become hooked as well. There are even stories of babies being born who are addicted and go through withdrawals once outside the womb because they're no longer nourished with opiate filled blood from the placenta.

The thing is though, often state appointed care is worse.

You have to do it on a case by case basis, and only remove the child as a last resort when they're faced with actual danger.

You can't just go taking ex-junky's children because they're economic situation is poor.

i think its entirely possible that guy is still using but at the same time meth really changes a persons whole demeanor and apperience and if you've been using for an extended time those tic's and fidgets don't go away for years if ever. meth is very effective at rewiring the brain, so who knows, he's probably still a junkie.

Over population is one of the biggest problems facing the world today. I say make drugs legal and tax them. Let people's free will determine their fate. Let the weak die. It may sound cruel, but nature is cruel. If parents clean themselves up and become good people that's fantastic. If they stay under the thumb of drug addiction, let them be a sad story. No good has ever come of laws that were conceived to save people from themselves.
