  • All old songs remind me of the Vividh Bharti program on Radio.... I still miss those radio days... It would start in the morning at 6:30 and programs would go on till 11 in the night. Specially those summer nights, sitting on the terrace, those walks to the Sugarcane juice centers, those power cuts, those horror stories........ Totally Nostalgic.

  • One of the classic melodious song, sung amazingly, sound is outstanding & lyrics are awesome. Naseeruddinshah...... nothing to say abt him... he is a legend... look at his performance...i like this song

  • My god look at Nasser....man he rocks!! He is the only guy who i wud say is the versatile actor. People call Mr.B as badshaa....i wud say it suits Naseet very well.

  • Great song love the way it is composed great to rember old days with lot of lovable back log of life which remains as treasure for life

  • you are right amoa111. Sweet memories of toung days are unforgettable

  • @ mysweetangels72: Have you got the lyrics or meanings yet?

  • The meanings which I know are:-

Su means beautiful and naina means eyes so the full meaning of sunaina are beatiful eyes

  • The lyrics of the son are as under:- First Part Aa in nazaaron ko tum dekho Aur main tumhe dekhte hue dekhoon Aa in ....... Pyari hain phoolon ki pankhudiyan Par teri palkon se pyari kahan. Phoolon ki khushboo se ki dosti Par teri rangon se yaari kahan. Sunayana - aa khilen phoolon ko tum dekho Aur main tumhe dekhte hue dekhoon
  • Second Part Unche mahal ke Jharokhon se tum Amber ki shobha niharon zara Rangon se rangon ka ye mel jo Aankhon se man mein utaaro zara Sunayana sunayana ... Door asmaanon ko tum dekho O.. door asmaanno ko Aur main bas tumhe dekhte hue dekhoon Lo Din dhala raat hone lagi Taaron ki duniya mein kho jao tum Main jaag kar tum ko dekha karoon So jaao tum thoda so jaao tum Sunayana ....... Sunayana
  • Aa in nazaaron ko tum dekho

Aur main tumhe dekhte hue dekhoon

    Aa in .......

    Pyari hain phoolon ki pankhudiyan

Par teri palkon se pyari kahan.

Phoolon ki khushboo se ki dosti

Par teri rangon se yaari kahan.

Sunayana - aa khilen phoolon ko tum dekho

Aur main tumhe dekhte hue dekhoon

  • what a beautiful voice

  • I am a muslim but one thing is clear that artists are the gifts of God. Voice has not caste creed or religion. A nice voice is always beautiful. so if anyone who dicriminate on the basis of religion is a bullshit. I love all voices

  • Whp cares for all those Hindu Muslim Crap! Naseeruddin Shah is Muslim, Yesudas is Christian, Rabindra Jain is Jain and Rameshwari is Hindu. So what?

  • Yesudas is one of my favorite singers. Artists do not have race/religion, knowing that Yesudas was a South Indian should not diminish the great voice he has. Why all videos have such stupid ppl posting irrelevant comments? Get a life! And enjoy these beautiful melodies without doing further analysis...

  • I never thought of Yesudas as a south Indian but thanks to some racist separatist I am aware of the difference.

  • Whatever you say there was lot of animosity against Yesudas in Bollywood. I myself have heard many of my North Indian colleagues ridiculing him. Pointing out his bad experiences in Bollywood does not amount to racism or separatism. Use your words properly. Just because you know few English words does not mean that you can use it anywhere, because others might also start doing the same.

  • Please understand that saying hindiwalla or Northwalla is no abuse or separatism. It is just like saying North Indian or South Indian. And the bad experience Yesudas experienced in Bollywood at the hands of ''some hindiwallas'' is known to everybody. I dont understand why you become so emotional about that as if you were also involved in that. I never said that all ''hindiwallas or northwallas'' are bad and all ''southwallas'' are good. Please be mature and have sense before sending out replies.

  • Please don't say like that. I am so called northwala & to me Yesudas is most melodious male singer. In our film industry artists play politics against each other to keep out competition & potential threats. If Yesudas lost out on account of that then blame it on politics among artist but don't bring regionalism in it. When someone from your own region is bad to you, you think they are bad. When someone from another region/religion is bad to you , then you think they r prejudiced/biased/racist.

  • This comment was for Vinod Kollam

  • You brought in the irrelevant issue of religion here abusing one partucular religion without any reason Hence think carefully who is better qualified to be called a separatist or racist?

  • Yesudas did not sing more in hindi because he did not feel the need for a Bollywood stamp and rightly so. Mohanlal never tried to become a superstar in North but is respected by people in remote parts of Bihar too...

And Vinod, can you take the idea that we Hindiwalla wanted to listen more of Yesudas too or do you think just because I am a hindiwalla I must be lying because I am a bad person, an evil person who cannot speak truth to the southwalla?

  • If Hindus hated Muslims as much as the people doing hate propoganda make us think there would never have been a Dilip Kumar or a Shahrukh Khan or a Md. Azharuddin for that matter. Again if the Northwalla or hindiwalla were so bloody against southwallas there would never have been a Vaijayanthimala or a Rekha or Hema at the top of "hindiwalla" cinema.

  • The hindiwalas could not digest and accept the idea of a south indian singing so beautifully.

  • I guess you are right... just like the southwallas could not tolerate the geat actors like Dilip Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan in the south indian language movies.

Why do Muslims always have their first reaction in saying that Hindus are assholes and the South Indians think actively on the lines of northwalla or hindiwalla.

  • supeb singing by yesudas it is sad that he didnt sung more songs in hindi

  • I agree its a surprise to c Naseeruddin in such a romantic song!!!

  • omg, first time i'm seeing video version of this song, never imagines 'Naseeruddin Shah ' would be in it. rahter funny. very good.

  • exactly same reaction , more over i just shocked, since my childhood i was listening to this song and never imagined that naseeruddin did this song. Also a rare combination, i used to see him with deepthi novel or smita patil :-))

  • Zarina Wahab again. A Rajshri favorite.

The movie 'Sunayna' was'nt great but this song is good. One of my childhood melodies.

Where r the melodies in today's Bollywood songs.

  • Yesudas at his very best. Pity that he did not sing more in Hindi movies.

  • Honeyed Yasudas. Ravindr Jain -Yasudas combination really wrought magic in the late 70s.

Were there any Yasudas-Ravindr Jain songs in the 80s too?

  • I will post my comments when I feel like doing it you arsehole. Why don't you go fuck yourself dickhead.
