If you have no support on the other side of the drive it wont last gravity will eventually pull it down and it will start screwing up other than that it is a nice mod check out mine to check it out go to facebook and type in console salvation into the search bar you can see other mods I have done as well

do you know if u can do the dvd drive thing, like cutting the top off so u can see the cd spinning on the BenQ drive? ive heard some say that u cant which is a bit dissapointing :(

you can do it to any drive, i have got clear, blue and pink cases where you also get a see through drive top for £45

The DVD drive lids only work with Samsung and Hitachi.

You would have to custom cut it your self with a Dremel like I did, they don't sell and pre-cut ones for the Benq and Liteon drives, ps I'm 14 and cut the drive when I was 13 so it's not hard :P

Dremels aren't crap. I wasn't putting your mod down I was simply telling someone who made a comment that you can't buy a pre-cut Benq DVD drive lid, you have to make one yourself. And I am still in the process of modding my Xbox, and I know how to put up videos, I will put it on as soon as it is done.

yes i know, i have another one which i have started modding but i want some designs, i have done the x clamp fix, and the RAM fix, sped up the fans so they are running at 12v to keep it extra cool - i dont know what i will do with the case? same colours? same LEDS?

well this video is of it not finished, i have put a sheet of perspex to stop any dust getting in, it does work as normal but you can add more fans inside to make it cooler

......some replacement squares 4mm thick from true rubber (one thats smooth and doesnt give dusty crap out) and stick them on with double sided tape, on put back together and you should have the 3red lights still, DONT WORRY, keep on for twenty mins and turn of, wait two min(let it cool abit) and you should have the green lights.Also if you remove the x- clamps and clean the cpu and the gpu along with the heat syncs and put some shine on with some aftershave and apply cpu paste on cpu & GPU.than

dont do the towel trick, it makes it worse, the cause of the rrod is overheating. dont overheat it again. what to do: buy a replavement x clamp kit from ebay, or increse the tension ON THE X CLAMPS IT SELF so becomes more tighter, if its a newer console then next to the x-clamps there will be 4 sticky rubber things, remove them and eiter put them in the fridge and put them on the other side of the mother board where the ram chips are(2 rams there, 2 under the GPU heat sync) and cut out .........

its not all i did, i stripped wires to wire in the green leds, cut open the hdd, modded 2 wireless controllers and a dvd remot and wirless headset. all i can say is you try making a modded xbox, i spent £180 on xbox, £30 cutting tool, £19 LEDS, £12 spray paints, £9 lacquer, £7 metal cutter for dvd drive
