Whats a good subject to talk about whilst vloggin?Im getting overwhelmed cuz I have such high standards of what I want to post and I really want quality content.Any advice on what exactly to talk about?
Ive thought of news, talking about other youtubers, gaming news and all that kind of stuff but it seems its all been done before..HELP!lol
What are all the ups and downs of the new Bloggie?? I'm looking to get one, but because if the price i want to know if i am getting my moneys worth. (i must say though the quality of your Blogs are FANTASTIC!)
What is a good way too start of your vlogging career and what would be a good subject for your vlog too be containing. Like if you have a diffrent set of talents like pogobat og someone else. Or du reviews on funny videos like RayWilliamJohnson. Thanks for these tutorials by the way so far they've taught me alot so far. :-)
For vlogging, would you suggest doing miniseries or short movies as well. You know, just for fun. Of course, that'd be in addition to the videos that say whatever's on your mind or whatever you want to say to those watching on youtube?
I am about to start the Disney College Program and I want to vlog my entire experience over there, and like my professor says I am a college student, therefore im broke. What (cheap) camera do you recommend for me??
What are your preferences for editing? I see a lot of youtubers do a lot of cutting, my guess is cutting out the 'umm's' and 'awkward moments' and distractions in the background like you said. But how much editing is too much editing?
How do you maintain eye contact with the camera, I find the video preview really tempting to look at while I'm talking Though its frowned on. (especially as I have glasses) Are there any tricks you use to prevent yourself from gazeing at the preview? Perhaps Blunty's opinion leans towards taking full advantage of the preview window to frame shots and check if your subject has'nt fallen out of frame. That's the question.
Love the advice, blunty. I doubt this is the first time someone has told you this but you kind of remind me of Robert Downey Jr. with an accent. Haha, downey is awesome. Also, if you're doing a daily vlog, on days when nothing exciting happens what do you put in your vlog?
How do you Vlog without making it seem like you think your sexy when really your just super cute? Also, how do you Vlog without making you seem uglier then your really are, and can I Vlog about bad calls in the UFC, or is that too violent for a girl?
i like your joke accents it always makes me laugh. Question: how do i know what is funny and what is not ? because i haven't got many video views and all i do is comedy !?!
You'll need to get a piece of editing software like Adobe Premiere that can use that function. Do a search on Youtube to find a tutorial on how to do green screening with your desired program :)
Why video editing software do you use? I can't seem to find one that's easy to use, but has some nice effects. And I notice that you rarely use any special effects, is that something you learned after a while of filming? or a preference?
Whats the secret behind a sucessful Vlog? Whats -your- secret and im not talking about your awesome charisma and outgoing persona, im wondering about the "other" secret. Surely you must have more than one, since you are after all, Blunty3000!
Blunty: My question is (and this is a stupid one) Does it feel awkward or odd to be talking to yourself while making the video. If so, how do you get over that, and what steps do you take to get pasted that.
Thanks for the tips blunty :D u (and ur vids ofc) are the best :D they are full of information, they give u ur own opinion and the most important i think, they are funny :D
There was a little bit of the video there about 2:30-2:50 wher I was wondering if you were ADR-ing tbecause your voice sounded a bit different. Were you? and if so what are your opinions on when that is a good idea and when its not?
Someone probably already mention this but I don't care too much. ha ha ha. The video, at some points, seemed a bit shakey. Is there going to be an area on the Bloggie where you can mount it to a tripod? That would be awesome.
heya blunty so huge youtube question i have noticed and appauld you on. your ending of videos and opening of videos i know you state it but the who youtubers who ask rate comment subscribe. to be honest its a good plug for videos but still its quite overused. what would you suggest to do for closing a video much like your closer "catch you next time"
My biggest question is audio. How exactly is the best way to record clear audio for your video/vblog/doco/whatever? I've currently been testing using the basic mic on my camera, or by using my laptop as a secondary source, but neither has enough quality. What do you use? Microphone?
Listening and reading the sign. Its called multi-tasking;)
Hey Blunty. Was this this all jittery. Your held vids ussually arent this jiggly. It was kinda annoying. Did you forget to enable a stabilty setting or something?
Even if I'm not trying to do vlogging, these videos are quite entertaining to watch. Of course it would be Blunty who could make information that's not relevant to what I want entertaining. But nonetheless informative. I thought you were using a rather expensive camera or something like that to record it, I was shocked when you said it was the Bloggie. xD Good job, hopefully this helps out a bit for the others.
Hello Blunty3000 I have been wanting to make videos for ever but my cam dosent work, but to the point i want to Vbolg and make Videos, what is the best cam for both?
Also what is the best video editing software?
PS: I love you're videos they are great and you are very funny
Main problem I have is that i record full body shots a lot, and the distance from the camera makes my voice sound fainter. anyway to remedy this problem?
I want to know how often you should upload a video? If you don't upload enough then people will lose interest and if you upload to much, people will be to lazy to watch you.
I also want to know about what kinds of video you can up load on one channel. For example; Rants, reviews, short films etc. because I want to start making most of these things and put them up on my channel but I'm not sure if I'll be over loading my channel.
2)Which Software do you prefer For Video and Audio Editing?
i have been watching your videos and have loved every moment of those excellent video editing tricks you apply, which my preferred software fails to do for me.
Hey Blunty i love it so i thought i would throw these 3 Questions at you rather shout it out to you!!
1)How do you get such Good Quality Audio in the backgrounds your shooting in?, I mean when i tried it i get a lot of grain in the background which destroys the whole video dam.
hey blunty, how about for the newer vloggers, (Using editing software) What transitions ,effects, etc. are useful for videos vs.that are just annoying or distracting
@Blunty3000 Maybe white balancing wasn't the word I was looking for, but there definitely seemed to be a lot of glare coming off of your face, and some shots almost seemed hazy/blanched. All around, the quality didn't seem as good as the videos you've done on your other cameras.
What are editing tips. Its hard to edit like sxephill and the vlogbrothers and even just ways to make smooth transitions. Most of the time people have really awkward ones. Also what are the best ways to act in front of a camera.
When doing reaction/responses that are potentially emotionally charged, is it better to respond with the emotion or to wait, calm down and then make the video?
If this video was really recorded on the bloggy camera, I don't think I'd even want a free one. It seems to have terrible white balancing and image stabilization... Not a terribly mic though.
@TheNutbar Stabilisation was turned off (my error), don't know why you thing the white balancing is bad, while editing I checked the scopes on FCP and the flesh tone was right on the line, and everything else was were it should be. Perhaps you got confused as some shots I stood in the shade, some were in full sun, and others still had the clouds drifting in front of direct sunlight.
Ok - So up the ante, and now I have to answer ;-). I like many who watch you want to imitate (best form of flattery) but lack your savvy to do so. You're really a proverbial Jack of all trades... I have a two parter; 1. How do you plan your shows in advance to keep some flow? 2. How did you get involved with companies for Demos/Reviews? Keep up the great work, and excellent giveaways, thanks for the Edutainment!
Hey is that Blunty behind those Foster Grants? Liked the sunglasses by the way what brand do you think convey the sexiest? I like Ray-Ban but my friends like Oakleys. Do you think I can breed my Flip to your Bloggie?
@rickki1 phht, I look down my nose at people who think big-brand high fashion sunnies mean shit all.... these are a pair I picked up at a sunday market, they cost $20. anyone who spends $100's on a pair of f'in sunglasses is an idiot IMHO.
Great tips. :) My question is, how should you talk about a controversial subject without upsetting either side of the debate, and keeping it an "argument" of good nature.
Should you be afraid about what you say in your videos? Meaning, if I have a point of view on a very controversial subject, would it be a bad idea to make a Vlog and post it on YouTube?
Do you think it is more important to reach out to a wider audience, by doing miscellaneous things and talking about practically everything, or reaching out to a more specific viewing audience?
Or would it just be more important to find methods of portraying one's personality and attracting an audience that just want to watch you?
Ok, I'm sure you've seen it...The video bloders who prefer using a black screen with text, or a text program with music in the background as there video. Honestly, it's more of a slide show than a video, but none the less it qualifies as a video. Anyway, what do you think about those as far as blogging?
I just started vblogging and notice how fake I sound. What do you do to make yourself seem more like you or show more of your personality than just acting, especially if it is scripted (which is what I do). I notice in my vid I seem really stiff and fake. It seem as if I am a robot that is talking or sometime it seem as if I have no energy at all. Sometimes when I try to express that energy it seem I'm over doing it. What can I do to get more more me and natural, especially when it is scripted?
Hey Blunty, your vids are great. One question. If you mess up an unboxing on camera by saying something wrong and the packing is made with that really annoying sealed plastic that you need a nuclear bomb to open, what do you do?
Hello Blunty! Longtime watcher, and possibly first-time commenter (if that's a word).
I do reviews on youtube, and I was wondering what advice you can give in using programs to create / enhance videos. I use Windows Movie Maker, but are there any particularly good programs you would suggest for producing vlogs, tweaking and editing, and special effects?
for the beginners advise section your doing, i would love to know how to stand out in a sea of youtubers, their is so much content on you tube how do i stand out when i start making videos? or how do i get people to my videos in the first place, "title, thumbnail, tags, or what"?
My question is: How's the best way to format a vlog? Do you use quick little frames (scenes or camera angles), or do you use long ones, changing the camera angle like you would add a clause.
Is it really necessary to have a top of the line computer to edit with (like a MacBook Pro or something) or is it fine with something cheap like Windows Movie Maker?
how could you sue the environment to your advantage, like for instance, how to prevent rain and/or make use of decorated surfaces? and do you think that its best to have a catchphrase or identity tag? (i hope i haven't just sent this twice, if i have soz folks, and blunty)
(eh heh :P) also how do , while your ad-libbing, making sure you don't stray off in the wrong direction and completely forget what your talking about? and in relation to my rain question, what are some ways to use the environment to your advantage?
Hy there. I am interested in vloging endings and how to make my viewer to come again and watch my videos. How to interact with the viewers and is it good to have some special "tradition" how to end your video.
Some vloggers have some sort of music playing in the background (Generally instrumental for obvious reasons), do you think this is a good idea? Does it enhance the vlog, or is it just another distraction?
How should you go about editing the video? what is the best software to use? and how to use it? also maybe try to say some alternatives like free software because not everyone can afford to buy expensive software.
Very helpful, Im just starting to do vlogs for some fellow Australians.

What should a vlogger really be aiming to do?

Sometimes when I try to vlog it comes off sounding like I'm just talking to myself and not to the viewer who will be watching the vid.
I'd imagine having an actual person in the room might help, but then there is the stage fright as somebody watches you try to vlog.
Is there any trick you use to maintain the feeling that you are speaking to an actual person or audience who will be watching the vlog?

Curious about how to speak while filming a vlog. Do I speak like I would normally speak or would I speak like Mr. Professional on Channel 4 News?

Also what's a good hight for a camera, and how for way it should it be, with out been to quite, or is that just down to a case of trial and error,
On a side note mmmm Dr. Pepper on of the nicest "soda" drinks out there.

When it comes down to vlogging, what kind of topics are people generally more intrested about?
Such as Political, Celebrity, Sports, Science or a mixture of all of them.
And out of the above mentioned which would be best to start off with to gain more viewers quicker?
Good guide by the way.

Now that I have your attention Blunty. The big question on my mind is, What gear do you use for everything? What does "Blunty Studios" consist of?
jrhall83 1 year ago

Awesome video, you actually did answer one of my questions! Fantastic!
So, my other questions for ze mister blunty:
1. The Lighting: How can I get a good or near perfect lighting setting indoor without having to buy expensive stuff?
and
1.b: And what about indoor, do you have to work on your lighting effects with your computer or the actual setting from your camera is enough?
So, that's about it! Thank you!

Hey Blunty!
My question is: How's the best way to format a vlog? Do you use quick little frames (scenes or camera angles), or do you use long ones, changing the camera angle like you would add a clause.

(eh heh :P) also how do , while your ad-libbing, making sure you don't stray off in the wrong direction and completely forget what your talking about? and in relation to my rain question, what are some ways to use the environment to your advantage?
godsofownage 1 year ago
Hey Blunty, I think you've sort of answered my last question in this video.
Do you think that its best to ahve some form of identity or catchphrase for your videos, like you ahve the whole 'catch you later ' thing and whatnot.
Also, say you wanted to record in the rain but didn't want the lense to get wet, how would you go about making sure this didn't happen?
godsofownage 1 year ago
Hy there. I am interested in vloging endings and how to make my viewer to come again and watch my videos. How to interact with the viewers and is it good to have some special "tradition" how to end your video.
Tnx and keep up the good work !

Assuming the camera coming with software editing stuff thats how you edit out the "crap"
I didn't get any with mine, so>
Maybe you could reconmend a free or maybe cheap good editing software, as I find windows movie maker crashes ALOT when editing.
I've used AVI's sometimes over 30 mins long.
Or a few tips on it?
