The Deuce was a bad idea and what were the orange things that were on the 2 logo that you see here? The logo that they had(when they were with the old WB)11 years ago was a good one. I love the logo and the look that they have now but why did they move their news from 9:00 down to 7:00pm for?
@jhshifris1 They moved it so that it wouldn't compete with KDVR's 9pm newscast, which was getting better ratings. It was also believed that the CW primetime would perform better an hour later. I'm not sure how much an effect it really had on ratings, but I do like having a choice for news at 7pm.
@jhshifris1 Denver 2 News was already done. This was during the latter part of the Dave Young and Beverly Weaver era. Moreover, this was when they renamed themselves Denver WB2.
@char615 Why does My 20 tie itself into My Network Television. Its deadbeat and its not even a network. And fine how about Mile High TV or Rocky Mountain TV. Or even (kind of bland) Denver's TV 2.
@samjarris That's true, but I still wouldn't get too close to any network branding. A lot of WB stations dropped the channel number and just went by "[city name here]'s WB". That left them with nothing to brand by when the WB collapsed.
KWGN has the oldest and most historic callsign in Denver. I think it has the potential to be a great brand.
@char615 but KWGN is not the orginal call letters of the station. KFEL changed its call letters to the current KWGN in 1966. I still like Colorado's Very Own.
@samjarris I never said it was the original callsign, just the oldest. KOA, KLZ, and KBTV all changed their callsigns in the 70's and 80's. There's still a lot of history with channel 2, and while a lot of it was flushed down the toilet with the Deuce, it'd be nice to see some of it restored.

Colorado's Very Own was based on Chicago's Very Own that WGN is still known as, I believe. What was the best logo that KWGN had?

Or, bringing back the old Eyewintess News moniker (KWGN used EWN from 1980 until 1983), and calling itself CW2 Eyewitness News?

@char615 No! I completely agree. 'The Deuce' destroyed some pestige. I would also prefer is Tribune started running it again.
