Im a teen myself and I think that the way they put this movie across was wrong.. because they made the girl look like a serious freak.. which make others think that people who self cut are freaks and that was wrong!! They should have made the movie in which kids and teens can relate to the character not make them feel that they are a freak like this girl because they self cut like her!!

Hmmm... i kinda disagree, I don't think they portrayed her as a freak, i think they portrayed her as more of a depressed girl who was bullied by a dumb whore and she just had a lot of emotions built up and those emotions wee probably building up for a while seeing as how she doesn't exactly have anyone to talk to.

Newsflash - and I say this as a cutter myself - cutting is a sign of one of two things: attention seeking, or being mentally unwell. She was obviously mentally unwell. Maybe that was a good thing, to let you know that you are mentally unwell if you cut. It was extreme, but the point comes across. They shouldn't feel comfortable with what they do. They should be jarred by this.
