hey please tell me how is your treating,, i have eczema and your videos i dont understand very good because I'm learning english, and i have some problemes to understand you... but i need your help.. Thanks and i hope your aswer.. Edoart from Mexico
Im assumeing u stayed on it tht last month im geussing it probally helped your chances of not breaking our post accutane so it was probally for the best
@tiptippinonmydick I would say it comes from life experience and acne that you are dealing with. Like with acne i've had thoughts of suicide and when on accutane i would say the intitial breakout could further this depression.
@tiptippinonmydick They relate suicide to it but most doctors and people I have talked to as well as myself believe that it is not necessarily the medication itself but the fact that having such bad acne in the first place can cause serious depression.
So in short, its not really the medication it is the person taking it. Keep in mind that it can get worse at first before it gets better as well.
wow nice change :) stop touching your face so much. the oils on your fingers touching your face causes breakouts. and hair on your skin causes breakouts too
everybody should get some joint juice to take with ur accutane if ur joints hurt like mine do. it works really well and its only $15 dollars at costco for a 30 day supply.
i started on 40 mg and she told me from the begining that i would be on it for 9 months.. i would HATE it if she said 6 months and it got dragged out. i'm glad it worked so well for you! thanks for making all of these videos
The calculations re: mg/kg total dose are from studies that speak specifically to relapse rates. To work it out it is SIMPLY the total amount of accutane you've taken divided by your body weight in kilograms. so if ur on 40mg a day for 90 days, thats 3600mg divided by your body weight. Your derm (or anyone's derm) wants to make sure you at least get 120mg/kg total because that's the break even point for relapse post acutane (5 year disease free after 120mg/kg is like 60%, the drop is precipitous
your skin looks pro dude....the redness will go away after your skin gets less sensitive. i just finished my 5th month and i might have to do a sixth but looking at how it helped you gives me confidence
120 mg? Holy shit dude....I was on 80 for the first two weeks then 40 afterwards for the next 3 months. Mine was mostly pustules and small cysts, but my face was insanely swollen because everything became infected right before I started the 'tane. I saw the newest vid and even here you look amazing. I started breaking out post-accutane about a year and a half after I last took it - so beware of a possible relapse. I found out in my case that its my hormones and having PCOS (I'm a chick).
juicing me lol.man u stuck in there and its paid off, i went to my derm last week and he said i should go on it but i dont want 8 months of this shit just like you did. so i dont know what to do
Ha your funny guy. Dude that acne medication has cleared your skin ALOT! I say just continue it for one more month to make sure you stay clear. I have a friend that hasnt broken out after her six month accutane perscription.
Hey, don't worry it's better to stay a month longer on accutane, everything makes a difference. I took accutane 4 years ago, and just 4 years later i started getting some breakouts here and there so i'm thinking about taking a second dosage, but think of how great your skin looks now compare to before. Goodluck, enjoy ur time on accutane as much as you can, staying on it for a month will make a difference.
hello! you look amazing!! and yess im taking this medicine too and im just starting my second month!! I have the some back pain too and muscle pain too. I am a runner and athlete so it kinda sucks big time but i guess i know the finally outcome will be great!! Hope lacrosse is going well!
hey, well first off i'd like to say that your skin looks amazing ! you're skin has come a long way ! I'm also on accutane and im just entering my 2nd month. I've been very curious of other peoples results, and i'd have to say that yours in probley the best! You're giving me hope that my face will clear up nicely. So thank you for posting this vids

Hey Chris just wanted to say thanks for putting up all these videos and helping us people whom are thinking about getting on this stuff, your videos helped a ton so thanks =)
The longer you stay on it the less likely the acne is of coming back. I think it has a cumulative effect. This is my third course and I've been on it for about 7 months already. My skin's been clear since about month 3 but my dermatologist wants me to stay on it for probably about 5 or 6 more months! It's no big deal for me though because I have hardly any side effects, only mild dryness on the lips and around the mouth. I weigh a bit over 80 kg and have been on 60 mg/kg/day since the start.
i finished accutane about a month ago and my face was really similar to yours and it seemed to work better on me than with you, but after a month the acne already starting to come back. good luck to you bro
Damn you've been on it for so long, I can see why you're frustrated...My acne isn't bad at all, but I've tried every other product so my derm put me on accutane. I'm somewhere on month 4 of 6. Last month my dr. made a comment that I was halfway done, and I said that I didn't think it looked like my skin improved much, so he changed my dosage from 40mg to fucking 80mg. I got bad headaches at first, and lately I've noticed I've been having short term memory loss...it's freaking me out.
hey! bro..did you followed a diet while taking accutane? like no sugar, no meat..etc... cause this is my second month on 40 mg of clavaris and i haven't seen any results..
ive been on roaccutane for 7 months now doctor said i would be on it for 1year! and i still have bad cystic acne and ive recently had a huge cyst break out which is bigger than a golf ball and is longer. why isnt this stuff working its really getting me down with school and everythin. i dont have much friends anymore cos i isolate myself.
your kind of freaking me out. like my derm wants me to go on it if this birth control doesn't work. but i don't wan to like have all those side effects. plus my skin isn't as bad as yours was, but idk.
P.S your skin looks REALLY good. you shuld definitely do another month.
Its because you started on a low dose and worked up. I started on 50mg so only had to do a 6 month course. You need to have a certain concentration of accutane in your body to minimize chance of relapse. Another month for the possibility of clear skin for life isnt really worth complaining about.
I completely feel your pain bro, I'm about 6 days into month 3 and i'm breaking out like fucking worse than i was off the shit. Hoping it gets better, looking for inspiration, how'd you deal with it?
don't feel bad for continuing another month. It is really important, I heard that if you don't complete the required course the acne may come back so keep it up and think about this you don't want to waste all the effort for taking it for an extra month.
yes i think he understands this. the problem is he has been on it 7months which is longer then normal for accutane. and accutane is a very serious drug...the longer you take it the more risk of the more serious side effects.
From the video, I can see that your face is nolonger inflamed and all... but how about blackheads???
Do you have blacksheads? You know the hardened masses of sebum that are formed in ducts of the sebaceous glands. Particularlly around the nose, chin, cheeks, and forehead.
Because... I want to know if accutane gets rid of it or even stop it from forming.
I've been on accutane for 6 months, and had severe blackheads, around month 3 they started to "push" out of my nose and then they were gone by month 5. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my results.
Chill out dude... Well, yeah ur lips does look fried and the other side effects you've been having is such a bitch. Suck it up!!! I think its best for you to be on it for another month. Your dermatologist might know what she's doing especially if she has been in practice for quite sometime.
You should be HAPPY that your face is nolonger inflamed with cysts and pus.
By the way, 8 months is not that BAD. Not bad at all. In fact, I've been fighting my acne problems for almost 9-10 years now.
Sounds like u stressin bro....jus stick in there tho...u look very clear ??? hope whatever happens works out 4 u....what about your tan or your redness tho??? do u no how long it takes 4 that 2 go away ater the treatment is done???
Hey man, here are my milligrams for each month: 30, 30, 60, 60, 70, 80. And I weigh about 140. I asked my derm about how they know what amount you need and he said that they take your weight and multipy it by some number and that gives a rough estamate of how much you will need to get clear and stay clear. He aslo told me that he likes to have his patients be clear for a month to ensure that the acne won't come back. Hope this helps and you look clear enough to me!
the way they calculate the dosage is they take the TOTAL amount of MG's you have taken from the start, to the day your at, Then they take your body weight in Kilograms, (since metric is god) so they basically want to expose your cells 100 mg per kilogram thru the course...you can look at the Roche website it tells on the product monograph
bro your face is mad clear now and its only gonna get better from now.. ima be real with you tho man.. if i were you id stay on it for even 2 months if she wants as long as your blood tests come out good. if its 1 month just do it man cause its this month and u have THE REST of ur life to live but if you get acne again then thats another 6 month process to get rid of with accutane. get this sucker out of your body for good and do it as much as she wants and live the rest of your life acne free!
DUDE i am in the fuking same situation as u. I play varsity lax in central NY so its like my fuking life bro. Ive been on accutane for 4 months and im gonna be done in march and my face is pretty clear now but practice starts in march. I sorta have back pain like you and its kinda affecting my shot. I also now im gonna get acne from my chin strap. But my buddy said cascade made this new cloth to absorb dirt and oil from your chin. Id say stay on it but stop if it affects your play dude. good luk
i'm really glad its working for you, even tho your having to deal with a lot of shit.
and yea, if you stay on it another month it really makes sure that your acne doesn't flare up again. cause if you go off of it before your ready, it can come back just as bad. like nothing ever happened. at least that's what my dermatologist told me.
My 1st accutane course was 6 months but it came back 2 years later. This time I've been on 80-100mg/day and I'm also doing it for 8 months. I have 1 month left. We started around the same time. Im in college and graduating this semester so I can relate to wanting to have your life & strength back and not have to deal with peeling lips, backache and depression!
Stay onits your last month and u prolly wont have to do it again, itll get u where u wanna b
Right now I'm taking 80mg a day for the past month. Before that I built up to that. Started with 20, then 40, then 60. Now i have to be on 80 for at least 2 more months and it sucks.
stay on it man, cumulative dose between 120-150 means the less likely it will ever come back. So you are at 100 mg per kg cumulative meaning your acne could come back once you stop taking it. One extra month beats having to do another six month course in the future.
Cum dose is when you add up all dosages for your 7 months nd divide by your body weight, i.e. 28 weeks at whatever dose your were on each week/ weight, 70kg or whatever you are, good luck
same boat as me bro. skin looks good!!! iv just finished 6 months, and got two boxes/two months to go. skins clear, but the longer your on it the longer ull be happy and clear for in the long run. think positive!!!
she prolly wants you to stay on it longer because you didnt start off at a high dosage. im not sure what mg you are at now but i would stay on it another month b/c it would be better than having to go on a whole new session of accutane later. but i totally understand the lax deal.. im playing an indoor lax league now and i start accutane in less than a month and its going to suck.. itll be even worse when spring comes around and its outside. i feel your pain but id go through with another month.

About me: I've been on it for 14 days now. My dermatologist put me on 40mg.
Condition of my face: NO severe inflamation, pus, or cysts. Maybe one or two. Not a big deal.
Major concern is the roughness of my skin from blackheads & dryness. Will accutane get rid of this problem over the course of the treatment?

and yea, if you stay on it another month it really makes sure that your acne doesn't flare up again. cause if you go off of it before your ready, it can come back just as bad. like nothing ever happened. at least that's what my dermatologist told me.
i'm going on it tomorrow, i'm kinda worried.

Chris! Stay on the drug the last month!

28 weeks at whatever dose your were on each week/ weight, 70kg or whatever you are, good luck

your skin looks so great.. but that's rough about having to be on this stuff for over half a year
i'm only 2 months into this and i'm on 50 mg
but it for sure sucks playing soccer while on accutane
you probably have already.. but lowering the dosage would help with joint pains
good luck and remember that you're almost done (:

she prolly wants you to stay on it longer because you didnt start off at a high dosage. im not sure what mg you are at now but i would stay on it another month b/c it would be better than having to go on a whole new session of accutane later. but i totally understand the lax deal.. im playing an indoor lax league now and i start accutane in less than a month and its going to suck.. itll be even worse when spring comes around and its outside. i feel your pain but id go through with another month.
