@djayor yeah you get 42fps on mini because it a has a resolution of onle 320x240 and thus has to render only 76800 pixels as opposed to 854x480 of x10 which is 409920 pixels ( 5times more ) so duhh mini pro even with weaker hardware will be faster. As for galaxy s despite has a similar res to x10 ( 800x480 ) its humming bird cpu+SGX540GPU is way faster than the adreno 200 on x10 is faster from the newer adreno 205 that most phones use ( over 90million triangles per second )

I think SE is better in a functional point of view because human eye can detect till 24 FPS beyond that is hardly noticeble (ofcourse its smooth but still) 25-29 FPS consumes almost 30 % lesser battery than 55-60 FPS , in a mobile device "Economy is important" :p

Now if only more quality games were offerd on the android market....The iphone (I'll never own an apple product) is the gaming king simply due to the gaming libray. I love my samsung captivate, just hope we'll get some games to push its hardware. I sent an email to gameloft about android support and very surprisingly got a reply stating that we should see some of the nicer iphone titles on anndroid in the next 12018 months...

@daviesboi1 My friend had the Galaxy and I have the x10, now the quality of the x10 trups that of the galaxy ten fold, that is in performance, style, build quality and features, when you hold the x10 its a nice weight to it and feels finnished, when you hole the Galaxy it feels light, almost like it is missing something.

@MrBj2020 how did you get 40fps??? 27fps is the default result for all X10 but this is because of activatede VSync! no 3D benchmark will go above 30fps because of this and thats why most benchmark results are completely crap!

I'm not saying Xperia is better than any other phone all I'm saying when somebody does review they have to be as fair as they could. @anakkucluk Being a Galaxy S user, I actually think the iPhone 4 does beat the Galaxy S by a slim margin in terms of gaming power. I have an iPod Touch 3G and from what I see I have a better experience when playing Asphalt 5 when compared to the Galaxy S. Though that might be because the ipod has a lower res, smaller size screen that doesn't need a big chunk of CPU power. Still the Galaxy S is definitely a very good Android gaming phone!

the iphone 4 uses an older version of the galaxy s's gpu and they pretty much have the same cpu, and since the galaxy s has a lower res screen (with way better contrast, viewing angles etc.) it'll kill the iphone 4 in gaming

in a test they played a neutral game demo on each and the galaxy s got 15xxx frames and the iphone 4 got 10xxx frames, so the diff is pretty sig.. i have the Xperia x10 and i dont think this is down to hardware myself, iv done some testing with various devices with the snap dragon and i believe the htc evo has the same problem, i think its a software issue not in the OS itself but a configuration from the manufacturer themselves, i say this as as i even done the fps2d test and that is hardly a demanding test and other devices running the snapdragon could get around 60fps but my x10 and the evo were stuck literally on 30fps

The GPU on the Galaxy S is Samsung's 1GHz Hummingbird processor, which the Xperia X10 does not have.
