  • Work station... Right...

  • I define "Quality" Asus, Intel.

  • I'm going to get an i5 2500k with 8 GB of 1600 ddr3, to even it out these days. And when the new GPU's come out, the Nvidia GTX 580's price will drop, so I'm going to get the EVGA 3GB Classified, factory overclocked one. I will also overclock the i5 with a Noctua d14 to about 4.5 GHZ. Then I will throw it on an Asrock z68 so upgrading later wont be a problem. Very good for gaming.

  • wow, you did not need a 650 watt powersupply

  • "You really don't want a cheap out on a motherboard, With that in mind i basically choose this because it was the least expensive" Do you listen to yourself guy

  • Corsair... CORE-SARE not CORESOR

  • how much for those products?

  • lol he cant pronounce corsair XD

  • its cors-air NOT corsor

  • ive never heard of coirsor lol

  • corsore

  • Its a good, solid... *thinks of the name* thing..

  • Great video!

  • Nice vid thanks for uping

  • erm.. why WD green and not blue? Green saves energy, bad performance O_O

Blue probs be better.. + it's not SA-TA to correct u, you say it all at once.. and it's Core-Sair. (Sair is like "Hare" but with the s). Just trying to help, not offending :D.

  • Can you tell me if you can have to MANY wattage?

  • Hey im building a computer and im pretty sure i have all the parts. The only thing i dont know a lot about is interface cards. Do i need to buy one of these in order to use my usb slots and all that or can i access those right off the mother board through my case?

  • Ya dont buy a cheap board so buy that board because its cheap

  • this is who i call a noob

  • @Sonerdy123 your what i call a punk

  • How much was all this?

  • he redeng samting in teibl

  • i think u mostly built that computer for your self

  • why does everyone get Intel, its all about AMD bitches!

  • @BlueBalloon97 intel are one of the best make on the market

  • Hey I was wondering if someone can help me. I am looking for a desktop mainly for gaming but i want it to be a max of $200-$250. Is that even possible, if so can you help me find the one I would need! Thank-you very much!!!!

  • @CAsoccerstar7CA well id say you might want to bump your budget up to 400 or 300.

  • @CAsoccerstar7CA

i spent 700 on my build. the graphics card is the most expensive part of the cpu aside from the cpu. the higher the graphics card the more expensive. For a graphics card i have an ati radeon hd 5750 great graphics card. I would recommend ati great graphics card for the price.

  • do you need a dvd burner? and I want more than 3gb of ram and my computer will run windows 7 ultimate 64 bit but my question when starting it up do i run like an older version and than get the Windows 7 Ulti 64bit than put the rest of the ram in?

I am confused on how to go about doing that (sorry my explanation is a little confusing)

  • what was the name of the case.

GReat video very clear and easy to understand.

  • how do you know what motherbored can go into what case?

  • @tollakt most common cases are mid atx towers that can take all atx motherboards and micro atx boards

  • Hi, Just wondering if you could give me some advice, I'm looking at building or buying a gaming comp. One that will atleast be able to run the games that are out now, and the ones that might be coming out in the near future. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • Depending on the components you choose to build your customized computer with is how you would go about buying your power supply. Also depends on what you will be using it for gaming, designing, etc. Just know regardless of power supply your computer will run. The power supply on this Dell Dimension I pulled apart a 2400 (older model) was running off of a very low watt supply. So again if you are just after a build and not so much a gaming pc then you can go cheap on the power supply.

  • corSAIR not corsor

  • Why did you go with an i7 if your not gaming, video editing, graphic design??? An i5 would have been more bang for the buck and give you enough performance. You could have used the money for a cpu cooler which would elongate the life of your cpu.

  • The GTX 260 is mainstream, the i7 920 is old and between mainstream and high end because its the slowest i7, 6GB ram is quickly becoming standard in today's PC and 650W non modular PSU is bullshit

  • mac sucks floppy donkey dick dont even talk about them you ruind the vid for me

  • SoundCard?

  • @MultiJohnnyBravo motherboard has its own soundcad

  • @MultiJohnnyBravo Lately alot of Motherboards have a Sound card built in.

  • It's really funny watching these people who actually knows nothing about building computers, trying to sound like they have been doing it for years and know everything about it :D

  • @SmallGuy170 I stated this was my first build with-in the first twenty seconds. I was not trying to sound like an expert, but rather show people that it doesn't require an expert to build your own computer.

  • @SmallGuy170 and it's really funny that people actually DON'T pay attention but pick and choose what they should insult about the video.

:D *smiley face right back at ya* >.>

  • @SmallGuy170 you dickhead ... your a pussy for talking crap ... this guy at least he has the guts to tell us about what he knows, he is sharing his knowledge which is good cuz me, i dont know how to build one ... and you are a mother fucker!!

  • @SmallGuy170 Shut up debbie downer gtfo if you were paying attention you would know that its his first build. Always someone who wants to critisize

  • if its personal why is it going in your family's work station

  • Man if I was building a family computer I would have gone with something... Oh I dunno... Shittier?

Is your mom and dad gaming on this shit? Lpl

  • core sore haha

  • i say Thermaltake is the best PSU not corsair

  • if you dont want to listen to a guy failing to explain things correctly press mute

  • You look like a nerd xD

  • how much was all this?

  • good video dude!

  • Core i7 970 or 980X FTW

  • workstation wtf this pc culd be a gamer ( LOL )

  • CORSAIR U IDOIT

  • @099psp you say "potato" i say "get a fuckin life asshat"

  • @sweftboy101 go and fuck yourself

  • hey dude i was wondering if cables come with all components ps greet vid

  • wow. watching this made me want to hit you in the face. not only for the way you talk. almost as if its in a condescending way. but also cause you dont seem to know half the things your talking about. get through highschool before you hop on youtube acting like a expert. if i were to rate this it would get... -2.7 out of 100

  • McLovin McLovin McLovin

  • @RadicalNH zomagod im not the only one who thought that

  • @RadicalNH Superbad xD

  • "workstation"

  • ur PC is kinda like mine... except i have a 850 Watt supply, EVGA GeForce GTX 480 and Core i7 950 overclocked

  • Hi Michael, i liked your video. You explained everything very well and you even went to explain the rational, your train of thought on why you chose the items you did. Hope to see more great videos from you. your vast knowledge of computers will take you far in your life.

  • You are a fucking rich!

  • what do you mean guys he;s a nerd

    lolzzz

  • #1. How much advice can you give if it's your 1st build? #2. You can only learn so much with newegg.com reviews. #3. You never built a PC, yet your going to OC it? and #4. That's a gamer setup, not a family surf the internet read email setup lol, but goodluck :-)

  • no kidding this thing will be good for years.

My Specs on my 6 year old Dell Latitude D500:

    Intel Pentium M, 1.3Ghz, 1MB L2 cache

    1.5GB RAM

    80GB Fujitsu HD

    WinXP Home SP2

    Intel integrated 64MB 845GM chipset/video.

  • u mean socket 1366

  • at work we hooker up an i7 950 and gtx 470 lol it needs a big case fir its motherboard not sure on its other specs tho got like team black ddr 3 6gb ram multichannel

  • mongoool

  • your case is fucking terrible

  • @WhopperSr its silent though

  • @SAM16MM your argument is not valid from my point of view for 2 reasons.

    1) earphones.

2), i like my huge, noisy 90's case. it makes me feel powerful. like the soviets - behind with the times, not as technologically advanced as others, but massive and could still blow congress into the south atlantic.

  • How Much Was The Total Price?

  • LOL

  • That motherboard's north bridge runs extremely hot.

  • @Partyposie yea i know right! whats with the gtx 260!

  • dude screw aa family workstation, use it to GAME!!!!

  • good choice In the case, very quit, even in SLI setup

  • why all nerds have glasses ?!

  • @TheCurseOfMetal cause they spend 23hrs 59 mins on the computer

  • @099psp haha thats true :D

  • This is scary, you look and sound exactly like my brother.

  • Do you still have that rubber grommet (did I spell that right?) that the cpu was shipped with? I threw mine away and need to find one as I'm selling my cpu...or is it ok to ship without the rubber pad?

  • Lol a simple workstation more like a hardcore gamer

  • /watch?v=uauhl8rLzaE

  • ...Youre not doing much gaming?... Riiight ;)

  • VOUGEL!

  • haha "family workstation". I see a GTX260 and a Corsair 650W PSU. Nice..

  • respect for taking the time to make this video, but naming off computer specs doesnt mean you know anything about them, in my opinion amd is just as good as intel except intel is more expensive ._. and a gtx 260? what for if your not pushing some serious gaming power? why not go with like a GT or at least something like 9800GTX but i guess it doesn't make a difference if you can afford the gtx 260

  • lol you don't need a i7 processor for a family "workstation" computer you would only need a i5 at the most

  • this guys is retarded

  • Core Sore lmao. Like hes got a cold sore. McLovin! Haha!

  • first attempt lol, its not exactly difficult, and why are you giving advice if this is your first build? PS, you dont want to go cheap on a motherboard, get one with lots of slots so when the onboard ports go dead, u can replace them. my msi p6ngm board lost lan within 3 years of the creation.

  • Why the heck would you want a GTX 260 for a simple family work station? did I miss something =P ??

  • My favorite build series on youtube. Hopefully I can post one soon :(

  • i got a nvidia nforce 750a sli motherboard, 2 9500 gt's by evga overclocked to 750 mhz, both with 1 gb of ram, in an sli config, 2 1 tb hdds, a diablotech 900 watt psu, and an amd phenom II dual core 3.1 gzh processor. 4 gb of ddr2 corsair ram at 800 mhz.

  • ati kicks nvidia's ass

  • some special thing ???

ur monitor is upside down way to be careful ;)

  • yea daniel7637 i realized that too

  • i7 Sucks. Not worth the money. Just bought a AMD Phenom II x6 and its faster than my $1000 i7 extreme

  • @JingFluX so you wasted a $1000 on a 980x and decided to spend another $200 to $300 on a Phenom II X6? and you think the X6 can outperform the 980X? do your research again bro !!!

  • @i7msc15283 i love amd but there is no was the x6 amd is faster than the 980x but still its not fast enough to pay 1000 though so yea i agree with you

  • Comment removed

  • "you really don't wanna cheap out on the motherboard"

"witth that in mind i basically bought this one it was least expensive............"

    lol

  • wow, you really did some research. you throughly explained well. thanks

  • Don't buy EVGA! Buy XFX or GAINWARD etc! Gr8 setup though

  • Don't the Mac Pros have Xeons?

  • it's socket 1366, not 1336, lol.

  • @xmodalloy lol thats true xD

  • @xmodalloy haha you can tell he's trying to figure out what to say. lol.

  • and i quote"you dont really want to cheap out on the motherboard. with that in mind i basically chose this one because it was the least expensive." LMAO

  • @mitchthegolfer Hehe, agreed

  • um the 8 core is nahalem or however you spell is lol the quad core in the mac pro is NOT the core i7! the core i7 is not coming out in the mac pro until apples next update

  • overpowered cpu and underpowered gpu^^

  • lol nice family computer with a GTX 260. Hopefully your parents will WoW their faces off

  • what website do you recommend to buy all the stuff to build a computer. How much was all this excluding the monitor already have a good one?

  • Does haveing 2 good graphic cards help for better picture or just one?

  • @uphill248

hell yeah 2 card will work faster than one and beter

  • You should sell that damn gtx 260 and get a XFX "XXX" Radeon HD 5770 1GB its much better!

  • why would you say to get a good quality motherboard, and state that you shouldn't cheap out on one then say you bought the least expensive one you could find? and you didn't even know the right socket number.

  • We can build a PC but we can't build a Mac! :P

    Apple Sucks

    PC Rocks!! :D

  • Excellent job, great build

  • man you realy lied to your parents about the pc didn;t you

  • u DONT need to have over 500 watts of power to run ANY system on the market!!!! the components that needs the most wattage is the CPU(200watts unclocked) and GPU(in this case the gtx 260 can consume 225w at most)

that is a total of 425watts + about 50 watts to other components = 475watts....

hope this have made some point to u guys.

  • that's not that bad either!

    better than my mac

  • if its not that great, then why are you posting your specs on a comment?

  • so what?

  • it is great just get a quad core cpu and a better graphics card maybe like a ati radeon 4890 or 5770

  • ITS MCLOVIN'

  • YES MCLOVIN

  • @seacart1 xD

  • @seacart1 ahahha yes he does look like him

  • Looks cool so far good choices.

  • and that's a lot of power for a family computer.

  • You should really use a green hard drive for your main hard drive because most or all of them are under 7200 RPM's. I've seen most people use them for either a home server or a backup hard drive.

  • If are not going to do Gaming, Overclocking or Image/Video Editor. Why do you need Gtx260, 650w, i7 and X58.

Do you have fun throwing away money?!

I can't imagine how much those cost a year ago.

  • You dumbass! buying things that you don't need and you even dont know what they do. "This is the same cpu on those Mac Pro's so you know it's quality"

You don't even know why i7 is so special

  • ITS MCLOVIN XD

  • LOL.

  • your fucking rich

  • soooo expensive....$_$

  • LOL, you were like, "you dont want to cheap out on the motherboard", then you said, "i chose this one because it was the cheapest"!!!! LOL

  • he said "you dont want to cheap out on the POWER SUPPLY" ...honest mistake ;)

  • corsor, its corsair

  • man you really went overboard with your parent's credit card didnt you. Not exactly a family general use pc is it?

  • 6gigs? i have 8 and my computer was only 700$ how much did u pay for all that?

  • $700 for a computer with 8 Gigabytes of ram? I wanna see your build, what do you need 8 gigs for?
