today i was at the cat's show. Mr. Kuklachev is the kindest person in the world.And he loves his cat very much. All animals really love him too. I think it the best show for little children. I think it looks like a lesson of kindness and love.

There really isn't a point in arguing with the people who assume this stuff is cruel. I've been all over youtube and I've learned that no matter what the hell you're doing, if there's an animal in the video, SOME self righteous squealer is going to scream about cruelty. I'm a huge animal lover and I am all for animal rights and ethical treatment, but really. it's ignorance and trolling like this that makes the media hate animal lovers.

Just going to add my voice to this and confirm once more that if a cat ( or any other animal for that matter ) doesn't want to do something, then they just won't. And you'll probably get very hurt if you try to force them into doing something they don't want to do. Before making comments about cruelty perhaps you might actually want to research this man and his work and animal behaviour. You'll probably learn something in the process.

It would be nice to believe that animals will ony do tricks if they want to. However a trip to most of the more backward parts of the world will quickly show you that violence will do and equal if not a better job. Although I must admit that this wouldn't be a good technique for cats. I'm not saying that is what's happened here in anyway, just that your argument is clearly wrong.

Perhaps in some backwards parts of the world certainly, but this man is a very well respected cat trainer and there are many people here making accusations without doing any research, which is what bothers me.

it's not only a bad idea for cats, it's impossible. after coming to the conclusion that giving him a sharp tap on the head wouldn't get him to stay away from my weed I did some research. something about cats not needing social validation, blah blah blah but when you're violent towards them they don't associate the punishment with something they did, but with the person punishing them. or maybe my cat's a pot head.

Anyone saying this is cruel has never owned a cat. If a cat doesn't want to do a certain thing, the thing will not happen. If a cat is doing something, no matter how seemingly bizarre, it's because the cat chooses to do it. Cats live to please themselves, not their masters, like dogs do.

it's a slow introduction, really. You practice at home where there isn't many distractions, start slow and eventually your cats will learn commands. Sometimes faster than dogs! :)

Some people here commented on how this guy supposedly "treats his cats as slaves. No matter how much you beat the shit out of a cat, they will NOT listen to you. This guy watches his cats and follows their play behavior and makes little things for them to play on. Sooner or later, they will get used to doing these things and it will make it seem like their performing. So, whoever blames this poor guy that he abuses his cats, think it over before you make that comment.

The Moscow Cat Theatre has been featured in many magazine articles and TV programmes - none of whom have found any evidence to suggest that cruelty is involved. He simply loves cats and has an amazing rapport with them. As Phenikwho said, he simply watches their natural play behaviour and then creates acts based around that. Don't you think the cats would make a run for it if they weren't happy?

These cats are not forced to do this. He raises them himself so he can see what types of things they like doing as they play and then incorporates those things in his acts. He has said he knows, like all of you should know, that cats don't do anything they don't want to.
