I can't believe people say it is 'weak' to use the front player The front player is for people who are willing to use precision timing, rather than smack the ball as hard as you can like a retard. I find the front dude is much easier to change the direction of the ball, so therefore he is better to use. And personally fast returns are cooler.

I love tennis, I love Wii Tennis ... however old this is, I still play it ... the thing is, you can pull realisitc full air strokes and play a decent game ... haven't been able to do that with other games ... I tried grand slam and others and the experience is crap. Are there any other games similar to Wii Tennis out there? maybe updated? cheers ... cannot understand why there is no Wii Tennis 2 ... just update the graphics and tournaments, same game engine ... nintendo missed a trick.

my score is 2398 and can't seem to get any higher. yes it does seem to take forever to get there . you can win evey set with your opponent getting no score and you may get no points for a long time . even if you do, it might be 1 point but if they get one point you can loose 50 points

according to your game streak line either you never lost a game or you just started each game over when you were losing so that your score never went down......and i've played the game and unless you are good at it before you start you lose some games before you get the hang of it....so I am betting that every time your were losing you quit the game and restarted

@oscy999 actaully it's practically impossible to get higher than 2350 without cheating. I hsve an honest mii at 2250+/- and none of my friends can beat me at wii tennis, most can't win a game. I can spin the ball any which way and basically they have to underhand or speed serve or the point's over. even so I can't get past 2300 without backing out of games. I play best of 5 and if you lose a single point at 2370+ you drop 30 points or more. takes 10-15 perfect matches to get back.

forehand from back: hold wii remote vertical, start with right hand on far right, keeping rmote vertical throughout sweep sharply frrom right to left as you hit ball - puts sidespin.

under+side spin easy at front - hold wii pointing down and angled say at 45 degrees to right on forehand - use graceful version of sweep to left and down a little - ball will land and kick to right and slow up (drop). play around.

Hey is there anyone that only uses the base player??? I made a mii and started playing without the net player. I do this by simply refusing to use it. I love baseline playing, its more attractive and more of a challange. Any way, believe it or not but I have made over 2000 point without using the net player once! I was wondering if any one else came up with this idea. It's a real challange to not use the net player!

Hit the ball with very early timing and it will go right into the corners and they miss, even if the mii is in the middle of the court.

Also the mii at the back can hit harder. Using the front all the time like this idiot gets boring.

Also many people at this level only seem to score points from the front (net) man.

It would be more interesting to see points won from the back (baseline) man - and it is possible.. even at the pro level.

Probably because using only net play is EXTREMELY effective. Like in real tennis. You can play from the baseline the entire time but being at the net gives your opponent less time to react when you return their ball.

@Fahku2 No contrary using the Net guy is the easy way to score. you have to remember your playing against a computer. I like using the back player and finish off with one hit with the net player. I think you must really suck if you use the Net Man instead of the back Man.
