Okay, I see the wacky waving inflatable flailing tube man - but what the heck is that tall crazy thing behind Plant? LOL Krauss is too cute in this, and the two sound great together. Great tune!
you know what? theyre still making videos. so ppl who expect them to be in venues like madison square garden are living in the past. More power to them
I get that some zeppelin fans wouldnt like this, the fact is robert plant can do whatever. his voice is still remarkable. my dad is a massive zeppelin fan and he didnt wanna hear about this collaboration til someone gave him a present of it. he loves it now!
A ton of Zeppelin's stuff is folk. Whether you like it or not, Robert obviously does, and now that he's on his own and he's got one of the biggest names in rock history he is allowed to do what he wants. He obviously isn't doing this to stay hip or popular, he just really digs this kind of music, and he's obviously having fun playing it
It's a pleasant enough tune and song, but let's face it, if it wasn't two big names, it'd be ignored totally. I can't work out how people of such talent can produce a medicore (in comparison to their other work) piece and have it lauded so much. Considering what they COULD do, this isn't even them breaking sweat.
@arniemazmax well you have to remember, Led Zeppelin was 30-40 years ago, Plant has made his name and his money. I'm sure he's grown since "Stairway" and "In My Time of Dying" and wanted to try something else.
Dude. you don't have clue #1 about what's going on with this Everley Brothers rockabilly stuff. You truly don't even know what's happening in this tune. You're probably to young. And sometimes too young is too old.
@eelshepherd No it just makes me cringe, he rocked like no other and to see him sing this just makes me sad. But if thats what floats his boat good for him. For me if he was singing this in some bar I would walk out, same as I do when greese lighting comes on, or time warp and all the simpletons get up to dance like they are 5 it makes me run it ain't cool, it not clever, it tasteless cheese.
HeLLo EvEryONE I don’t try to be a spammer; I’m just a person who is fighting for her dream I’m going to introduce myself. My name is Angie Medina and I’m 17 years old I’m in a small town, but I have big dreams I play guitar, flute and I would like to learn play piano and violin My dream is to be a singer And I would like that my dream can come true with the help of you guys. So please stop by my channel and check out my cover. Please help me get my dream. Thank you so much.
I think that the reason for remaining his good voice, is that comparing to other rock stars, even less famous than him, he used to take it easy on drugs. Different from other singers who are not even alive anymore. Some rockstars fucked their voices up, just by excessive alcohol and drugs and lazyness.
@mawdez as I said to the other guy, don't take my word for it, as far as I'm informed, they used to take a bow that way, and a British guy told me so.
plant still has so much swagger and funk, makes me feel bad for some of the other older musicians. its nice to see a different side of his voice, but the old oohhhh yyyeaaahhh's are where its at
@Bluesman510 Fair enough, just being Irish I'd know a lot of British people and been there a few times and had never noticed it. But I suppose I could've just missed it.
@Bluesman510 Interesting, Ive never heard that, but it does sound believeable. And I would recommend it, it is :) The east-north side gets more money for tourism and culture, but the south-western half is more kind of authentic natural beauty, lots of beautiful coast and mountains and lakes. Whichever you prefer. Also, lots of people here have a strong affinity with the blues, which I'm sure is a bonus for you. We've the birthplace of Rory Gallagher, or the spot where Zep took HOTH's cover photo
@hallinanmatthew yeah, a lot of great musicians come from Ireland. Gary Moore was Irish, but I'm sure you know that. I'll sure as hell visit it some day, maybe even stay a while.
Robert is a musical god. Not only is he immensely talented, but he's preserved his voice, and considering what he did with Led Zeppelin with that voice, that's saying quite something.
The Robert Plant takes the lead...who use to be the lead singer of Lez Zepplin...helzz ya...Rock on guys
