Whether you like it or not, Robert obviously does, and now that he's on his own and he's got one of the biggest names in rock history he is allowed to do what he wants. He obviously isn't doing this to stay hip or popular, he just really digs this kind of music, and he's obviously having fun playing it

I think that the reason for remaining his good voice, is that comparing to other rock stars, even less famous than him, he used to take it easy on drugs. Different from other singers who are not even alive anymore. Some rockstars fucked their voices up, just by excessive alcohol and drugs and lazyness.

And I would recommend it, it is :) The east-north side gets more money for tourism and culture, but the south-western half is more kind of authentic natural beauty, lots of beautiful coast and mountains and lakes. Whichever you prefer. Also, lots of people here have a strong affinity with the blues, which I'm sure is a bonus for you. We've the birthplace of Rory Gallagher, or the spot where Zep took HOTH's cover photo
