The fact that our "D3 allstars" couldn't beat Team Japan, signals to me that the Japanese are catching up. Belittling their victory or diminshing our boys who had the guts to take them on is counter-productive to the popularity of our sport, and against the spirit of football. Show some foresight and respect for the game like these players did.

BTW US in its first appearence ever at the World Cup of American Football, beat every team, INCLUDING JAPAN, winning the Cup. They did this with 3rd and 4th rate players. Not a single college A-lister(as I refer to them) was on the team and yet they steam rolled korea 77-0, and beat defending "World Champs" Japan in the finals Not even using our best guys

I hope american football always remains something that we as americans can call our own. It makes it special and endering that way. Baseball is known as the American game and MLB is still the king of Baseball leagues. So we are kinda the keepers of the sport. So to beat us is an honor for them and I don't mean that in a condescending way.
I actually enjoy seeing our pros in baseball and basketball lose every now and then. True competition is more fun.
