  • I was privileged to play with Speedy several times in his later years at local jam sessions. He was a real gentleman in addition to being a superlative guitar player.

  • In the good old days of televiosn, you'd find REAL talented artists being broadcast - not the flunky pop stars we see today. I grew up listening to Speedy, Neal, Buddy and all those great cats with god-given, natural talent.

  • Гетарочеловек - да спасибо, я пездатый валынщик

  • To the Haworth Family - On behalf of Red Foley's entire family I extend our sincere condolences. I am Red Foley's Grandson, Pat. Red's Daughter Betty was my Mother. They all three have now passed on now but I'm very sure they are back doing what they loved up there. They will live on forever because of their goodness and all the beautiful music that continues to touch so many millions of hearts.

  • Yeah man! R.I.P. Speedy.

  • He was my guitar mentor from the time I was eight years old. I hated to see him go, but he left behind such great music. I see him now playing licks that I learned from him on the road and in the studio and the eyes well up. Rest in peace my dear friend.

  • Nice strat - he has put the volume control near the neck - unusual.

  • Speedy Haworth passed away today, 2/26/08. He will be sorely missed.

  • I am his daughter, and I was with him when he passed. He had been unable to walk for over 8 months, and the last time he played guitar was last March. Now he's playing with the angels, and all the entertainers gone before. Love and miss you dad. Shirley Jean Haworth

  • So glad I found this. I worked with Speedy for 5 years--I learned soooo much from him.

    Love Ya Speedy.
