If you let the tape roll hang with the heavy end down it will burn through better, also you can brace your laser against the table to keep your line steady, but most of all you need to wear safety glasses rated for 532nm, you can damage your eyes and not know it until its too late. You can get amber glasses on ebay for 10 dollars, but you can not get new eyeballs - seriously medical science cant transplant retinas yet.

why do you put it so close to the tape, thats gonna ruin your lens, your pretty much getting melted plastic all over your lens, lol, if that has a ir filter on it itll be gone now :( i wouldnt do that in the future. and itll make it dirty as hell
