9k rpms average, unnecessary fuel waste ;) sv's got enough kick to go 1-2 gears higher and it's really smooth(notice that they've got torque peak at sth around 6,5 k rpms and that's where you want to be rpmwise). You ride it like it's inline four, but still nice to see some six fifty ;)
My buddy just got a reckless driving ticket on Bent Mountain for popping a wheelie; the cop was sitting on the side of the road in a pickup truck and radioed ahead to two state troopers, who set up a roadblock at the top of the mountain. Be careful, they're getting tricky.
You are all over the place man, you and your pals. Do you still have your SV? I've got one too, and live about 10 min from Bent Mtn. I'm sure I'll see you out there if your still running up it.
by the way, be careful as you're coming up that straight stretch at the end of the turns.. cops love to sit in or around the church parking lot over there on the left. I used to fly down the straight wide open but after seeing a few people get nailed there, I let my buddies go around me when we get to the top.
thanks man. i do need to do another video but i havent been riding nearly as much. i have about 19k miles on my SV now, but am prolly going to be selling it soon. need to get a new rear tire and do some vids again...
I got an sv650 two months ago. Put a new seat on it, new exhaust and saved 3k from a ninga 600. This is one nice bike, rides well, fast and forgiving. Prefect for fast road riding, like these guys are doing
Nice video, good work showing your buddies that a liter bike is overkill. The SV will teach you so much more than what their bikes will teach them, and it already shows.
i've got an SV650S myself, and i can say i love it. Just to let you know, that "coming-outta-corner" boost you speed of bjjfighter35, if you come out of that turn doin about 5k or 5500 rpm, and just open it up (make sure not to step that rear wheel out), that SV will do just fine. Also, when you get the bike, take the snorkel out and remove the baffles from the stock can or get an aftermarket one. It will sound better and pull alot better.
im not a fan of the riding gear my buddies wear. but whatever, their choice. i wear full gear ALL the time when im riding. no jeans for me. and they were on liter bikes, i was on a 650 v-twin, of course im gonna have to try and keep up...notice i passed one guy at the 2nd to last corner? and i stay in my lane for almost the whole video, unlike them...
thats a stupid comment to make, i presonally wear gear when I ride but its their choice, they arent gonna hurt anyone else by not wearing gear. As for track time, thats great, we should all take our bikes to a track where you have to probably have to take it on a trailer and pay and all the rest of the hastle.
not to mention that you complete a track in a few minutes then you are simply repeating the same corners compared to a free road where you can enjoy miles of new corners hills and picturesque scenery compared to a flat and ugly track.
if you want to do everything is a clinical and shit-boring way go ahead, but dont write supid comments like that.
I realize this is 4 months old so you should have like 6 months of experience now, but learn to ride that bike well and you should be able to woop up on those I-4's in the twisties. You ride a V-Twin man, use it. Don't run your bike up in the 9 and 10's RPM range, your bike is meant for lower rev's; opposite of I-4's. Good video tho; i like the camera set up.
i watched this entire piece of shit and theres no squid crash! rip off.

I like it.
What I appreciate is that you are staying in the lane and the others are cutting the corners.

I'm just about afread of getting low like that again. Resone why I recked that way.
and I don't think my back tire can hold up to it. I feel. like its going to slipe from under me again.

You guys suck at lane control. You should be able to get up Bent Mtn faster in one lane ;)
Let's ride sometime
