I find the song to be more touching when you watched the cutscenes of Dawn of the Dragon and watch the ending credits. And as you hear the song, just think that they did it, they defeated Malefor and prevented the end of the world.

It is probably one of the best endings in a game if you ask me. You defeat Malefor, but the world is still breaking apart and it seems Spyro will have to give his life to save it. Despite not having too Cynder stays by his side and the "I love you" is just beatiful.

And then this song comes on and blows you away, followed by the after credits scene where we learn Spyro and Cynder are alive.

I cried of joy and I am not scared to admit that.

When I finished the game, and thought that Spyro and Cynder died, I was speechless and mouth open, gaping at the screen. Then the credits rolled and this song came, and I felt tears streaming down my face. Hell, I'm even getting tears in my eyes writing this comment. I was so sad :(

They are not dead. Remember the scene after teh credits? The chronicler says every time a dragon dies a new page is added to the book, but he could not find Spyro or Cynder. So they must be alive and well like we see at the very end :)

Should be a game called Spyro´s Universe coming before Summer Next year according to a leak. It should be set for Wii and DS, but no info if it will be based of the Legend of Spyro setting.

If it is true i would expect first reveal to come at the game convention (cant remember name) that should take place the 11th December.

Remember what the Chronicler says just before that scene. The death of any dragon is recorded in the book, but he could not find Spyro or Cynder anywhere in it. So they are alive and well :)

I understand completely. This game was one of my greatest experiences ever and though i cannot exactly answer why, the ending is the one thing i can say with certainty.

Everything was perfect in that ending. Spyro and Cynders aperent sacrifice accompanied by Cynders faint "I love you" followed right after by the credits and thsi beatiful song brought me litterally to tears.

And then the credits run out and they are alive and i could have screamed in joy. It was perfect :)

Yeah dont watch Eragon, read it and i can also recomend a newer series called Temeraire. Also dragon focussed, but a bit more realistic and in my opnion far better than Ergaon, though Eragon is good.

Well i got some good news for you. Guess who has gotten the rights for a Temeraire movie? Peter Jackson and he is currently looking for someone to finance either a filmatizing or a high budget mini series of the entire book series.

The Eragon books are most certainly a reading worthy, but they are not quite as good as Temeraire.

My sister read the Eragon books and said they were good but I don't have much free time. The only reason I read Temeraire was because I was forced to read the first one for school but then I loved them.

I own a combined edition of the first three books of the series where in there are a few comments from Peter Jackson, Stephen King and the like and in that Naomi describes her reaction when Peter Jackson called her about the rights. After that it was simply checking the internet for tidbits on where Jackson was headed with the rights. Probably still far of as Jackson is currently doing Tintin, but after that we can only hope :)

They will be making new games set in the world they created with the Legend of Spyro series. The entire purpose of the Legend of Spyro trilogy was to reboot the franchise and take it in a new direction for future games.

I think a more valid question is wether the next game will feature the current Purple dragon (Spyro) or if they will jump forward 1000 years or more and do the game in another era.

Hope they stick to current Spyro and hope Cynders in the game.
