Its interesting that they would nest on the side of a building. Bluebirds prefer open meadows, but in the video you can see shadows from nearby trees. We placed a Peterson nesting box at the edge of our yard on a 5' stake, and bluebirds have raised in it for the past 5 years. It has a vertical, oval entrance hole for which most bluebirds show a preference. Nice video!
Looks like there may have been an intruder at one time trying to make the hole

Watching this footage makes me wonder how anyone can allow house sparrows to kill these beautiful birds and their young to take over the nest box.
