In my opinion Army SF is way better. They can work in small or large groups, are force multipliers and have a group for every region of the world. They are highly trained in languages, culture, and their job. Army SF is the master of Unconventional Warfare. Small groups of SF brought down the taliban & al qaeda from the mountains and also defeated several Iraqi divisions from the north and west of Iraq in the invasion. Those are two great examples of the diversity of Army Special Forces.

Navy Seals are immense. Guys dont argue over it, we are allies. The Navy Seals use a short course of the SAS one , so theyre basically the same its just Navy Seals focus mainly on obviously the sea landings whereas the SAS focus on everything. Actually, UKSF (SAS included) has selection to pick out those who are suited for the regiment or group. When they're officially part of the force, they have continuation training which lasts the whole career.
I'm not against the SEALs or anybody else but It's just wrong comparing them to one another. The SEALs may not be based on the SAS but they were trained by them in the beginning. Back then,only the UKSF knew how to conduct asymmetric warfare which was the SEALs purpose..

The SAS did train SEALs in asymmetric warfare. What they knew from the Army Rangers had to be re-drawn since the battlescape differed in both era and front. One thing they definitely learned from the regiment was to operate independently deep within enemy lines. Of course the majority was learned from OSS or OSA, and the Naval part of their training was on their own. Especially Demolitions and Reconnaisance. One thing that differs between SEALs and the SAS is their tolerance conditioning..

If they were then DevGru formally known as SEAL Team 6 would have been modeled after SAS or SBS but they aren't. "Richard Marcinko (one of the creators and founders DevGru) refused to model SEAL Team Six on another Special Operations Forces unit and wanted ST6 to be unique."

The US had the best medics and Pilots so Im not anti U.S. But the only Unit in the World considered good enough to send a team of 8 to take out the SCUDS were, yup, you guessed it, THE SAS. Go join up dude and come back to me when your a SEAL and well talk some more.

Navy Seals are immense. Guys dont argue over it, we are allies. The Navy Seals use a short course of the SAS one , so theyre basically the same its just Navy Seals focus mainly on obviously the sea landings whereas the SAS focus on everything. Theyre just as specially trained in combat to do with water and shit. But they are classed as worlds elite .

Actually, UKSF (SAS included) has selection to pick out those who are suited for the regiment or group. When they're officially part of the force, they have continuation training which lasts the whole career.
I'm not against the SEALs or anybody else but It's just wrong comparing them to one another. The SEALs may not be based on the SAS but they were trained by them in the beginning. Back then,only the UKSF knew how to conduct asymmetric warfare which was the SEALs purpose..

I must admit, the US definitely took the concept of the 'Kill House' training grounds. Beginning with the succesful use of the concept by detachment "Delta." the SEALs of SOCOM-- and every other USSF quickly followed suit. Though asymmetric warfare has been w/ in the US since the revolution, ancestry of army Rangers in unconventional warfare opposing formations

The SAS did train SEALs in asymmetric warfare. What they knew from the Army Rangers had to be re-drawn since the battlescape differed in both era and front. One thing they definitely learned from the regiment was to operate independently deep within enemy lines. Of course the majority was learned from OSS or OSA, and the Naval part of their training was on their own. Especially Demolitions and Reconnaisance. One thing that differs between SEALs and the SAS is their tolerance conditioning..

SEALs are not based on the British SAS or the SBS or any other SF or SOF unit. Delta was modeled after SAS but Navy SEALs are unique. If they were then DevGru formally known as SEAL Team 6 would have been modeled after SAS or SBS but they aren't. "Richard Marcinko (one of the creators and founders DevGru) refused to model SEAL Team Six on another Special Operations Forces unit and wanted ST6 to be unique."

Charles Beckwith said..."theres he SAS, then theres the rest of us".
The SAS were the first and most experienced SF on earth. Remember that the US SF/Rangers etc were trained and advised by British Commandos in WW2.

us sf didnt exist in ww2. devils brigade was the US spec ops, and OSS. NEITHER of which were trained by british. rangers were though. UDTs are the precurser of SEALs and wernt trained by brits either.

It has nothing to do with which unit is the best. They are all the best for one important reason. The men who compose them have one thing in common. Ruthless determination to win. They have a mindset of "Mess with me and I will mess with you. Challenge me and I will prevail.". They constantly train to back that up with more than just trash talk. I don't care if you're talking about SEALs, SAS, Delta, or any other elite unit. They're extremely motivated guys and you do not want to mess with them.
