You Don't Have To be Baptized To Go To Heaven, You Have To Say yes To Christ. When Your Baptized Your Not Saying Yes To God. Your Just Being Dipped In Water
Why does the Council of Trent anathematize anyone who receives John the Baptist's initiation rite (Holy Spirit who is coming - Spiritus Sanctus) instead of Christ's baptism in the Holy Ghost, who is (Spiritum Sanctum)? John the Baptist, according to the Masonic Bible, is the patron "saint" of freemasonry. The Church has been in Auto-anathamatization mode since Pius XII reversed the Sacramental Rite in 1944: Mark of the Beast.
Matthew 3:13... Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River. Now the Jordan was a River. So, it was living water. So, we too, must be baptized in LIVING water. -Amen
@TangerineGroovin well not just that we mainly get baptized to show our love for our saviour not just because he did it but of coursse you might be from a denominational church and that might be your belief but i am from a church of christ and that is how we have been taught.
After the wonderful manifestation of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, Peter exhorted the people to repentance and baptism in the name of Christ, for the remission of their sins; and he said: “Ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38, 39.
36. Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]?
37. Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?
38. Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.
39. And made him in two sexes, male and female.
40. Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).
im baptized..but i am an athiest..so dont get me wrong, i mean i do respect it..but its just a confusing process for a yound child..i got baptized on my 1rst birthday...
@Yanksfan2344 Catholics don't baptise - the word baptism means to dip, plunge or immerse. Catholics 'sprinkle' instead and call it 'christening'. If you can't remember it, you didn't and couldn't believe then, which is a requirement for a correct baptism.
@TheFirecogicuk Hey COGIC Please explain then why EVERY baptism into the church was done 'in the name of Jesus'? Father is not a name, but a title - my children could call me father and sometimes do, although mostly it's Dad or Daddy. Son is not a name but also a title - my parents can (and have done) call me son. SImilarly, Holy Spirit is not a name but a title.
@mja3806 God is one God in three persons read you bible and obey christ before you go to hell please I beg you too turn your life around and come to holoiness.
@TheFirecogicuk so sorry you can't spell - is it dyslexia? I'm praying for you - is this why you don't read your Bible? Perhaps I could send you a recording on MP3 files.
How about you obey?
Col 3v17 "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Is baptism something you do? - then do it in the name of Jesus.
Acts 19v5 "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."
@TheFirecogicuk Hey firecogic my book is currently free and available on the internet - why not have a read. There you will find I discuss each of the 91 verses regarding baptism in the Bible, and use about 850 verses in total to show that baptism was always in the name of Jesus in the Bible. Have a read for free, then let me know where I went wrong.
Or you could write your own book, quoting at least 3 verses to backup your views on baptism. Want a hint - impossible!

im an atheist, but i have very vague memories of being christened. can some please explain to me the difference between a baptism and a christening? its always confused me. thanks :)
a christening is a catholic form of baptism for babies, but other denominations such as assemblies of god ect has a baby dedication which is much different. baptism is after you get saved its a sign of washing your sins away, might i add its amazing!
@monkeyskitz The word 'Baptism' means to 'dip, plunge, immerse'. One of the requirements for a proper baptism is that it is for believers - so if you can't believe, you were not baptised. Some churches (most notably the Catholic church and it's children) do not dip the whole person into the water, and hence it is not a proper baptism. What they do instead is 'sprinkle' with some water, and call it 'christening' - although they will also call it baptism if pushed.
@mja3806 ah i think i understand. the memories i have were at a church in elmswell in england, which im fairly sure is a "church of england" church, not catholic or protestant. either way, what they did to me was nothing of my choice, i was too young to make the decision. my dad is what you could call (i guess) a casual christian, as in, he believes, but doesnt go to church. so it was probably his choice to do it.
@TheSuperNaomi You can learn and understand even more through my book discussing every verse on Baptism in the Bible - find it by checking out my video reply to this video.
I got baptized at seven because i was penticostal apostolic and told the deacon that I wasn't ready to be baptized but he told me that if didn't get baptized right at that moment I was going to go to hell when I die later. But then in 2004 when i was 14 and my parents and other family became baptist in late 2000 I asked my mother is it was alright for me to get baptized when i was 14 and she only said yes because I told her that I had a full understanding of what it meant to be baptized
@ilove2praisehim you know right, you dont have to be baptised to go to Heaven, you just need to accept the fact Jesus Christ the Lord and Saviour died upon the cross for you, and everyone on youtube, and the whole world. now back in Bibical times, you had to be baptised, and circumsized to enter the kingdom of God, but the 21st century came, and Jesus just says in John chapters 3:3. Verily, verily! i say unto thee, unless a man is born again, He cannot see the kingdom of God!
@JeremyLinski You are correct man, but if you truly did accept Jesus as you Saviour, you will have the surge to read his word, do what he tells you to do through bible and then when you feel you are ready, you should get baptized. YOu cannot just live you life like that till the end, the holy spirit inspires you to get baptized. God Bless
@ilove2praisehim , sorry to hear that you were made to be baptized, expecially in an apostolic church. Although it is true you have to be baptized inorder to go to heaven, i apologize for the way you were made to be. Saying that though, i have one question... when you were re baptized was it in the name of Jesus like the bible says or was it in the titles of Father Son and Holy Spirit. if it was in that way father son spirit, i encourage you to look at the only way the bible baptizesitisntthtwa
@myGodis1lord It was in the name of Jesus. when i got re baptized i left the church and converted to the Baptist church. But now although i attend a baptist church i consider myself to be non denomenational.
He is so cute! They tried to baptize me when I was 5 years old, I was so scared that I started screaming and pulling away from the Pastor! I made my Mom come and get me out of the pool. LOL (I got baptized at age 12 when I had a full understanding! :-)
I wish I was baptized like this. I was baptized as a baby in the philippines. Now that I am baptized, i can no longer dream of getting to do this. Anyway, I am sealed with God's love.
@jowannabee8 There is precedent in the Bible for being baptised correctly if it hasn't been done correctly already - as in your case. See Acts 19v3-5 - especially verse 5 - "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."
@mja3806 The trouble with you Jesus only is that you think everyone is wrong but yalll Jesus said not everyone that say Lord Lord will get into heaven!
But he didn't even say, "Jesus" at all....isn't that the name that they baptized in in the Bible? Nobody was ever baptized that way in the Bible....Jesus is the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost...ACTS 2:38
It's cute that kid swimming and all but the "baptism" itself is not funny in the least. Sad.
All scriptures claim be the inspired word of God, no matter the religion, and inspiring the word is not the same as written by God.
The Old Testament had Elohist/Yahwhist/Deuteronomist/Priestly versions. The New Testament was derived from some 200 scriptures boiled down to a compendium . The Vulgate and the text of Erasmus (KJV) all had armies of translaters where translator errors could creep in.
I noticed you didn't answer my question with any scripture, just your opinion.
And the oldest copies of the Bible were the Codex Sinaiticus, the Codex Alexandricus, the Codex Vaticanus and the Chester Beatty Papyrus, none of which match the others.
When Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost, with Matthew beside him, he told everyone to be baptised "in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. " Peter had the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and Matthew was beside him - not correcting, supporting.
It was only several years later that Matthew recorded and published his gospel, and people were still baptised in Jesus name
@mja3806 When Peter told the people to baptise in Jesus name he letting the people know of who told him and the apostles to baptise, this is not saying that peter pronouced the name of Jesus over any one.. As for that info about Matthew well I can't find that infe in the bible so then its all false!
@TheFirecogicuk sorry, Matthew was one of the 12 disciples - can't find that one? Or is it that the 11 were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost - can't find that one? Or that the 11 stood up on the day of Pentecost?
Try reading Matthew 9v9 - Matthew was a disciple
Acts 1v13 - He's still there
Acts 1v26-2v1 - He's still there
Acts 2v14 - Peter stood up to preach with the 11 - He's still there
@firecogicuk Or are you suggesting that Matthew had collated all of his notes into one coherent book, written it down and made 3000 copies already (by hand) in between Jesus giving the great commission and the day of Pentecost a few days later? Was he handing out copies of his gospel on the day of Pentecost to every new believer? Were they baptised again because Peter had gotten it wrong?
@mja3806 I dara you to get your bible, blow the dust from off of it and turn to 2 tim 3:16..... I don't know what you thoght I said or what your people teach you but all I know 40 day before penticost Jesus had given the great commission that is for all of us to obey to the letter BTW I didn't say Peter got it wrong as the bible says Peter was filled with the spirit he stood up to say the thing he said!
@mja3806 Here we go again... You may think you're right by twisting scriptures to suite yourself but I read the bible I've been reading and studying it since I was six so I know Matthew was a disciple no one said he wasn't!!! "your so silly" lol.
@dignorttech Hebrews 1v2-4 Jesus got His name from the Father by inheritance. Hence the name of the Father must be Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all titles, not names.
@mja3806 I am a proud member of God's church the church of God In Christ in the Uk I've a official member for many years....... Go ahead and worship the false moon god they call alah but I worship Jesus Christ and him only will I worship!

Sad.

Give 1 scripture that says that Jesus is the Father.
dignorttech 2 years ago
Colossians 2:9....
the Godhead bodily is "the father and the son and the holy spirit." and In Jesus dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily...
Give 1 scripture that says Jesus is not the Father....I dare ya! lol
I have more if you need them...search the scriptures...if you seek His Truth...you'll find it.
amyanoneness 2 years ago 2
Bodies are limited to the time and space they occupy, even after Resurrection. God is transcedental.
Where dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead non-bodily?
This is reminiscent of the Monophysite/Nestorian controversies of Christokos v Theotokos.
This passage just links to others claiming there's no other path to salvation except through Jesus.
Blessed Be

Bible please...scripture is the inspired word of God...if you have no Biblical reference this discussion is over. I'll be praying for you.
amyanoneness 2 years ago
All scriptures claim be the inspired word of God, no matter the religion, and inspiring the word is not the same as written by God.
The Old Testament had Elohist/Yahwhist/Deuteronomist/Priestly versions. The New Testament was derived from some 200 scriptures boiled down to a compendium . The Vulgate and the text of Erasmus (KJV) all had armies of translaters where translator errors could creep in.
I noticed you didn't answer my question with any scripture, just your opinion.
ysbaddaden2003 2 years ago
John 8: 5, 8/John 10:29,30 (Greater than himselff?)/John 17:20-23 (id's "My father," not myself, no great feat to be one with oneself.
Now, wher in scripture does Jesus say I AM God, fall down and worship me?
ysbaddaden2003 2 years ago
Oopsy...my bad...
I forgot to mention the Septuagint
And the oldest copies of the Bible were the Codex Sinaiticus, the Codex Alexandricus, the Codex Vaticanus and the Chester Beatty Papyrus, none of which match the others.

@amyanoneness Jesus is not the farther but he's the son of God only!!

@TheFirecogicuk Hey COGIC people, where did Jesus get His name from? He INHERITED it from His Father (Hebrews 1v4).
mja3806 1 year ago
@mja3806 that right so that is why we must obey what Jesus said EVERY WORD st matt 28:19
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago
@TheFirecogicuk Yes obey every word, not repeat every word.
It was only several years later that Matthew recorded and published his gospel, and people were still baptised in Jesus name
mja3806 1 year ago
@mja3806 When Peter told the people to baptise in Jesus name he letting the people know of who told him and the apostles to baptise, this is not saying that peter pronouced the name of Jesus over any one.. As for that info about Matthew well I can't find that infe in the bible so then its all false!
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago

Were they baptised again because Peter had gotten it wrong?
mja3806 1 year ago
@mja3806 I dara you to get your bible, blow the dust from off of it and turn to 2 tim 3:16..... I don't know what you thoght I said or what your people teach you but all I know 40 day before penticost Jesus had given the great commission that is for all of us to obey to the letter BTW I didn't say Peter got it wrong as the bible says Peter was filled with the spirit he stood up to say the thing he said!
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago
@mja3806 Here we go again... You may think you're right by twisting scriptures to suite yourself but I read the bible I've been reading and studying it since I was six so I know Matthew was a disciple no one said he wasn't!!! "your so silly" lol.
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago
@dignorttech Hebrews 1v2-4 Jesus got His name from the Father by inheritance. Hence the name of the Father must be Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all titles, not names.

@amyanoneness I fully disagree you're so wrong!!
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago
@TheFirecogicuk Hey FireCOGICuk - there is a chorus that we sing at church to challenge your theology - it goes like this:
Do you know the name of the Father?
Do you know the name of the Son?
Do you know the name of the Holy Ghost?
Don't you know these three are one?
Hear Oh Israel, the Lord thy God is one!
Do you know the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, don't you know these three are one?
A second verse gives the answer to all questions, which is of course Jesus!
mja3806 1 year ago
@mja3806 I know that song very well of course God is one he said it himself
TheFirecogicuk 1 year ago
@TheFirecogicuk So why not baptise in His one name? Everything else you can call God is a title.
