  • I WANT MY OLD MTV!

  • I miss my old MTV.

  • I loved "Remote Control".

  • This was the beginning of the end, when they started to put other shows on MTV and mentioned 'great music videos' last. When was this, after '86?

  • mtv remote control the begining of the down fall for mtv

  • u can blame the execs for that and i want my mtv back

  • Was Remote Control the beginning of the end?

  • hey, they would change it back, but what would they the 10 year olds who like the hills say?

  • screw them lol i want the old mtv back

  • Mtv isnt even mtv anymore its all stinkin reality shows that half of them are scripted!

  • Aahh the good O'L days when MTV played music, sad to see those days gone.

  • I know and I grew up in the wrong generation. If was born before the 80s I would of been a star and I should of been born before the 80s.

  • Its a real shame they don't play videos anymore, I'd have no problem watching if they showed some music related programming.

  • I'd almost believe that there was a government conspiracy to sell-out and neutralize mtv. I can't understand why else MTv would suck so bad when it had so much to offer music in the mid 80s.

  • dude i am so with you although i'm a teen now i remember that the late 90's is when it started to go downhill i really wish i could of lived in this era for the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wished I lived in this era, too.

  • @RpKingman

I think I know what you mean. In the 80s, people in the office like Tipper Gore pretty much hated the music and videos popularized by mtv, and then they made the whole parental advisory logo on the records and tapes. And now look where we are. So I would definatly no be surprised if you are right.

  • Thanks for uploading.

The ironic thing is that today MTV has becomes on of the biggest brain cell-killimng, zombifying channels on tv!

  • Good call. Unfortunately, that's what happens when anything becomes popular. It becomes "corporatized" and watered-down to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I miss the MTV in the 80's. :(
