Opeth are boring as fuck. All their songs follow the exact same structure, the growling and vocals are some of the most pretentious vocals I've ever heard. Opeth should've been upstaged long ago by metal, as they haven't made a decent album in 10 years, and bands like Orphaned Land, Disillusion, Drudkh, Agalloch, Burst, and Negura Bunget shit all over them.

Opeth are nothing like AWS, and shouldn't be compared at all.

A Wilhelm Scream has found their own sound. If I would compare it with other bands I would say they sound closer to a mix between Strung Out and No Trigger.
