  • WTF does he know about all of these health issues? He's a frankin' journalist!

  • the hell is waiting for him after his death

  • Never mind that all the government studies are done by people with INTIMATE ties to big pharma, and that a lot of times they cook the books to make them heroes. Like Dr. Saulk, it turns out that in the first few years of the vaccine being implimented rates of polio went UP, not down, and now a lot of people who took those batches are getting cancer. Hmmm. Could more people having indoor plumbing have helped?

  • @AussieGriffin There are a lot of people who ate tomatoes who are getting cancer now too. Let's ban tomatoes. Correlation vs. causation. You are absolutely guaranteed that some people who took those early batches are going to get cancer. It's simple population intersection. It's as statistically guaranteed as the air we breath not gathering up in one corner of the room and suffocating us. It's what has to be designed out of meaningful studies. It's why the plural of "anecdote" is not "data".

  • @erkq Don't believe me then. See Seeds of Destruction, or do your own research, and if you want a good place to start, try the channel Just Say No 2 GMO here on YouTube. Remember, all companies, by law, have to make a return to their shareholders and Monsanto's getting great results, esp. with Codex Alimentarius enforcing BGH sales to all WTO members. Watch the video Nutricide to see where the food technology agenda is headed.

  • @AussieGriffin I was commenting on your Polio discussion. I don't know enough about GMO to comment. I suspect a lot of the negatives that we hear come from conspiracy theorists, but OTOH it does sound like it has scary possibilities and I can see where Michael Specter is marginalizing the possible dangers. But... really... you want POLIO back??

  • @erkq What I'm saying is that public hygiene, not vaccinations, made Polio go away and there's data to prove it. People like Mr. Spectre are cherry picking data and ignoring the stuff that doesn't have any sort of establishment seal of approval. This is like government health care, it's signed, sealed and delivered, and not worth any of the effort.

  • @AussieGriffin OK... I understand your view. But where IS that data? I hear a lot of talk about it, but never see actual data... ever. Why is Polio coming back in fundamentalist countries that don't allow vaccinations? There's been no change in hygiene. But there HAS been a change in vaccination rates. Why is Britain experiencing a 20% resurgence of Rubella after the Autism-vaccine scare? Has there been a change in hygiene in Britain?

  • @erkq Actually, there's a few interesting notions out there if you look at the debate of a few scientific papers on the internet. Everything from the amount of sugar eaten, to the abscence of pro-bacterial health. I'll PM you with the details, still the fact that the vaccine did have side effects and caused the disease is enough for me to edgy.
