  • i believe this is one of warren miller's movies?

  • yes it is

  • im iching for winter

  • dude the jumps are awesome

  • is the steamboat terrain park any good?

  • naw there jumps suck

  • Its not very big. But Howelson Hill Jump Complex is just on the other side of town, about 10-15 min drive from the mtn.

  • NO it is not! steamboat is about backcountry, sidecountry and just mainly powder, i have lived there for 2years that the park in steamboat is comparable with the parks in north carolina, definitely the worst park in Colorado. Go to summit county if you want a good park, think of steamboat like jackson hole, no body cares about the park just powder.

  • @mrsteamboatpowder I tottaly agree, I've lived in Steamboat for three years now and I'm good friends with the park crew that builds the jumps and rails in all three of the parks in Steamboat. I asked a buch of them why people ride the park when there's 16 inches of fresh on top.... and they all said good question.. another park worker said "I would be on top of the mountain too if It wasnt my job to be in the park all day."

  • mavericks rocks not as big this year but still rocks

  • steamboat has flats rainbows and boxes and there is 1 pipe 1 boarder x and 1 street

  • dude steam boat has every thing

there are 3 peaks but the 3rd (the highest) isnt that big but its the best spot cuz it has all the backcountry =0

  • anyone know if steamboat has any box rails or flat boxes?

  • i think theres 2 parks or 3 idr

  • i was there last winter..had the time of my life and yet never touched the terrain park. but yes they have a huge terrain park including maverick super pipe..one of the niggest in the country. and yes many boxes

  • i spent 4 months in steamboat - the best tim eof my life

  • The Steamboat mountain college is a sweet way to go. They have a course in avalanche control!

  • I escaped the Yampa Curse, but just barely. I spent a year there as a chairlift operator ( Christies 2 & 3) and had a blast. I was there in 1992-1993 season and think about it every year. I skied 120 days in one season. I lived in company housing and 'had' to ski to work. It was fabulous. It is a great mountain and town.

  • haha im about to do that also. Maybe not ski lift operator but im goin to work and ski and live in the housing

  • Yea, i might go to college there, but im "really going there for the riding...because if u can afford to college, there is no need to go"..!

  • yes, truly the best! 2000 -20006 - toots
