@Brentypooz for the tone, high mids, high trebble, low bass... and an overdriven sound plus reverb and delay, (just a little bit!).... The backing guitar sound is clean with a bit of chorus.. (you should get a loop station).
The progression is in C# minor (also E major) and goes c#m(add the 6th and the 7th)-> B5 ->Asus2
what two fucking idiots think they can give negative to this song. do you have no fucking soul ... you empty soul less pieces of shits. fuck you and go listen to your pop.
the thing i respect most about buckethead is that he wears a mask. his shows are about the music, not about getting famous (unlike slash) slash is fuckin overrated. slash and gun and roses suck ass

I love the clarity and talent that comes into this music, and yet, the emotion is so high, it will give any musician goosebumps. Excellent piece of music.
Go listen to rain by Jason Becker, then go listen to Mabel's fatal fable. Although he tends to play more shredding stuff than Buckethead, Jason Becker has some good emoional pieces as well as awesome shred metal stuff.
@buckmanz name any guitarist who play : metal rock, funk, country, jazz, mixes of all this kind and so on and so... that can come even close to this emotional piece of art...
yes, like everyone says slash is the best guitarist in the world, but all he is is a good guitarist with a insanely large image. he also is the only guitarist they know and they tend to just say he is better only because thats the only guitarist they know.
@3childrenofbodom3 they probably only like slash because he was featured on guitar hero. buckethead is to awsome for it. Expert for buckethead is childplay for him.
@Irishpuma94 im one of the biggest buckethead fan in the world and im not all for slash but you do realize that buckethead has been on both guitar hero 2 and 3, right?
It may seem kinda depressing, but that's what makes it great. Whether he's depressed, worried, happy, content, whatever it is, it's emotion. And to display that through guitar is a beautiful kind of music.
This guy reminds me alot of mike oldfield , his playing is quite spectacular . The first time i heard about buckethead i thought i wouldn't like him as i'm a more proggy / jazzy sort of person , but i was COMPLETELY wrong , he is an amazing guitarist and is definately like mike oldfield , and a bit like david gilmour as well . incredible.
buckethead must be the fucking best variated, shred, emotional riff making supergood person in the whole universe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you want it in english, its called a rake. you strike more than one string while bending a note, but mute the other strings, so you get a couple of mutes right before the bend. sounds nice doesnt it. :)

No, on the album version Buckethead has a part where he inserts random guitar playing, but almost all of his songs with those on YouTube have them edited out.
Such an amazing song! The rhythm guitar is perfect, the lead is perfect. Perfect, perfect! This song easily gets to your feelings, it's hard to describe.
wow...the guitar is heartbreaking when played the right way...bucket head truly captured its beauty...it reminds me of th9e last like 1:00 of the song the end by bullet for my valentine

I've always preferred bucketheads melodic songs as opposed to his shredding!, which is incredible but the colma and electric tears albums are so beautiful and relaxing. And as for the title of this song, I think he names them to imprint an image in your head, what that image becomes is up to you, which makes the song all the more mysterious :) awesome stuff Buckethead
i agree dude, i have electric tears, population overide and colma. They are the best imo. I prefer the more melodic stuff too, I know what u mean about the track titles too. Earth heals itself is an awesome track, i listen to it every day driving home from work, it just chills me out, like most of his tunes.

This has always been my favorite chilled out Bucketjam. Reminds me of that myterious autumn feeling quite a bit, and who doesnt love to be reminded of that? especially through this majestic and delicate guitar playing.
wow, only person besides myself i've ever heard describe, or even relate to " that mysterious autmn feeling" but i totally gotcha. and i feel it too. the smashing pumpkins mellow songs usually give me that feeling as well.... but i've always been suspcious if it's just because their name has pumpkin in it.... lol
'Mysterious autumn feeling', never heard it called that, but i like it. I think buckethead can make any feeling he likes. For a man with no face he shows some passion Ü
I'm inspired by master guitarists of all types and genres, and I think Bucket is too. In some songs you can hear him paying homage to David Gilmour (anyone notice the double-bend on this song? Classic Gilmour.) Other songs it's Beck, or Vai, or Jimi, or Slash... Etcetera etcetera. I love them all and I wish I could play them all. Buckethead loves them all and HE CAN play them all!
i just love how buckethead has a theme to each album he makes, emotional, metal, soothing, crazy electric cyborg noises, his style is sooo unique, it's to the point, u dont know what his new album is gonna be like. yeah he made a couple of soothing emotional albums, then he tosses in death metal, then other shit, i just love how he makes his music! i fucking love this genius!!
Buckethead is simply amazing. Sure he can shred and play insanely fast, but he has this other amazing side, a side that has GREAT emotion in his songs.
its whne people assume thisis his only stuff other than shredding, I get pissed off. Like, he's an amaaaaazing shredder, and fantastic slow guitarist, and he can play awesome rhythym as well. He's all around perfect at guitar.
yeah man i just wish all music was like hes and hendrix is my guitar god every one say he was not that good at guitar but i said fuck you without hendrix there be no emotions in music it slfe you know

i just love how buckethead has a theme to each album he makes, emotional, metal, soothing, crazy electric cyborg noises, his style is sooo unique, it's to the point, u dont know what his new album is gonna be like. yeah he made a couple of soothing emotional albums, then he tosses in death metal, then other shit, i just love how he makes his music! i fucking love this genius!!
