However, most people don't get it - and never did - because it has a visual synaesthetic dimension that they either don't see or aren't consciously aware of seeing. E.g. I once played Neon Lights to a friend, who found it merely inoffensive. I then explained the synaesthetic effect, and how the sounds look like neon lights to me, and played it again. This time she cried because she got it.
