  • why the heck would you want me to do that?!

  • @coolvideogamekid1 Because I wanted to.

  • Calling a 1987 tv vintage seems a bit of a stretch. Vintage to me means like a 1965 tv or something.

  • @DarqeDestroyer That is true.

  • @DarqeDestroyer U want Vintage? I have a 1994 TV now that's VINTAGE!

  • LOL I like you! whatever your name is.

  • @coolvideogamekid1 Thank you very much, and my name is Anita!

  • @coolvideogamekid1 Thank you very much, and my name is Anita!

  • I have the 19" version. Great TV

  • @DrMarilynFan Thank you!

  • It's strange how at one time remember them everywhere, and they were amongst the first that could be had for less than $160!!! (That WAS CHEAP for a "13 COLOR TV back then.....) I guess it's because they were still mechanically tuned. Before that 13" color TV's averaged about $250 or so, just because they were "COLOR". :)

  • I used to have one of these......it's was the most reliable TV I ever owned, got rid of it by mistake. I actually miss it considering the problems I had with a small flat screen recently. I would like to find another one and having a really hard time. So the must have gotten rather rare.

  • @kjm2672 I miss this TV so much but, it wasn't worth spending the money on getting it fixed. I've got another 13"inch color TV tube with a built in DVD player (Magnavox) and it's pretty good btw.

Both my Grandmother and my Mom, had bought it two years ago and was like, "What is this tv box doing on my bed?" LOL

  • I used to have TV just like that......what would the model number be?

  • @kjm2672 That would be Model TC3140M.

  • @kjm2672 True. Back in the early 1980's they were maybe like, $200.00 and then in the late 80's, the prices have dropped to a reasonable price of $100.00 or more.

  • You connect a DVD player to your VCR and to the old 80s TV

  • @jason24568 Yes.

  • An old Samsung logo. On 90s a new Samsung logo. (The A in Samsung logo just like upside-down V)

  • Goy no pics of it , but is a big sqared-shape box with two small speakers and 2 leds for Power On and Timer.

OSD. Channel appears in pink if not in memory, and yelow if stored.

  • Dude, get your camera out and upload it bro.

  • Well, gotta run for now, good sharing on our vintage television sets! Have a nice day and God Bless my friend.

  • Yes. Even begining the 90´s there weren´t so much cable-ready TV sets.

We bought a CT530W remote commanded Samsung TV.... It had only the 83 air channels...

Most Sony of that time had up to 29 cable channels ---

  • Wow.

  • Samsung products before 1993 (change logo) were far better than actuals...

  • That could be true I suppose. I've just had recently got rid of it by tossing it into my Mom's own dumpster, and ended up replacing it with a Magnavox Model number CD130MV9 with built in DVD player and SDTV (Standard Definition Television).

The picture on the Samsung had started to go as you can see, the black lines on the top.

Thank you so much for your comments, hope you can subscribe to my channel!

    Anita

  • But it`s the same

    Emerson = RCA = Thomson?

I know since 1987 RCA sold his electronics divisionto Thomson-... or not?

    Buttons are identical to RCA

What are the orange and red lighs for?

  • The lights that you see are for as follows:

Green light for the power indicator

    Red light is for TV/VCR

Orange light is for tape indicator

  • We bought that tv in 1990 .....

  • So you guys had that television set for 20 years, and it still keeps on ticking.

  • @supermasterPIK Why you buy a too much less expensive TV for the 90s? You can connect SNES?

  • How did you hook up tv to VCR?

    Coaxial?

    That tv has RCA jacks?

  • Coaxial, because the TV wasn't cable ready itself.

  • Is that a "nite glo" remote?

  • Yes.

  • buena calidad de grabasion de tu vhs pero muy mala marca emerson

  • What?! Could you please translate from Spanish to English since I don't know any Spanish please!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

  • Nope they don't anymore, it's very nice for it's age since it was made back in March 1987. Thank you for your comments!

  • That is an amazing TV set, looks nice for it's age! They don't make them like that anymore!
