  • man is that a trick pro?

  • Those were funny laces I wore for this video! haha

  • its axis i own one

  • Hey duds!!!

It is a trick pedal with axis beaters!

Look after! No springs! Look after! Axis beaters! Look after! Owned your asses there

  • Its an axis, look at the footplate and at the moving part behind the axis of the pedal.

That moving part is where the spring is tied in, and the footplate being thinner at the tip then the ground plate, but the trick pedal is MUCH thinner. (but the pedal is much better tbh)

To quote a certain person "Owned your ass there"

  • its axis pedal to

  • Is that a pearl demon pedal?

  • @noyp1 tis an axis longboard... dude, they lookd totally different...

  • no pearl demon drive is a peace of shit its axis longboard best pedals on the whole fucking world.....and i have them muhhahahahahahah

  • @indafinda they arent dude, you may like them, but they truly arent, trick pedals or demon drives are considered some of the fastest.

  • @noyp1 Axis

  • I dont know where I got those shoelaces from! LOL!!!....The left foot is more like 'ghost note bass drum strokes' - not intended to be loud. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to you all...

  • No, there are axis longboard.

  • Axis actually

  • the pedals are the trick

  • nice shoes

  • longboards are the BEST!

  • Comment removed

  • And this isnt really a good speed exercise. Its a good coordination method if you want to play continuous bass drum beats while hitting a hihat with the other foot or something but a good speed exercise would be to play with one foot at a time at several volume and speed levels up to your maximum. Making sure that the front of your shins are hurting by the end of your routine. Your routine will increase speed but the independent footwork is a distraction to maximizing efficiency on the left side

  • killer shoes dude

  • They must be his drumming shoes!

  • @FilthyLunatic LMAO :D

  • @FilthyLunatic haha!...

  • Yes! AXIS LONGBOARDS!

  • This video would have lost absolutely nothing by being about a tenth of the length that it is.

Good video, although I'm not sure it helps much if you rely on power or play heels-up, but really could have been so much shorter. Seems to me that you got it a bit backwards insofar as making the description far more informative than the video.

Add some dialogue to your next video, it'll make it much more palettable to the viewer.

  • ggggaaaaayyyy sorry it is

  • agreed

  • They are definatly NOT a waste of time. EVen tho there isnt much power behind the left kick, power can develop over time to, like if u start o0ut slow with power, ull eventually get speed. Likewise

  • is not a waste... maybe a waste for drummers without tecniche like rock band players or metal full s´peed

  • metal is technically very challenging. maybe its less creative than jazz. but as far as it concerns double bass technique, metal drummers are the ones to ask how to do it.

but im wasting my breath: you dont even know how to spell technique.

  • metal less creative than Jazz? no way. Metal is everybit as creative as the amount of creativity put into it by the composer/performer. That goes for every genre. But technically speaking, if you want to learn foot speed the metal drummers kick every jazz drummers ass. The jazz guys are there for coordination, and rudimental applications with the hands.

  • you are correct. i would ask a metal drummer about bass drum technique and a jazz drummer about ride technique. metal drummers for the most part have been pioneers in double bass drumming...of course belson was one of the first to begin using it. but since then, metal drummers have brought it to a new level, im not even a metal drummer and i recognize this

  • @tubardix LESS creative than jazz??!?! You obviously don't work in a jazz club -- almost NOTHING new has happened in 40 years. Metal is WAY more creative -- maybe juszt less improvisational

  • looks like he was a single bass player and just kept doing the same shit with double bass!! boring as fucking hell!! his left foot just keeps going like its a fuckin hi-hat.

  • i love my longboards :)

  • Yew need maw powa! Unless your playin with triggers. But that's cheating for the most part :p

  • nice 273 ups!

  • The exercise seems like a waste of time for one, because there was barely any power behind any of those hits. If you want double bass speed, just use the metronome and practice with lots of power over long periods of time.

  • those arnt trick pedals you retard there axis XLs with the variable drive lever

  • how do people afford those fucking pedals

  • eurr sell ur kidney ? ^^ i've got axis longboard myself .. but ye there bloody expensive

  • werd

  • we get jobs and save money thats how

  • Hope to see some of you at our Sam Ash Midtown Manhattan Clinic, Fri Aug 21st, 6-8pm! 48th Street! Would love to meet you!

  • i love longboards

shame i dont have them :(

  • hmmm pretty cool

u showed skill but it was kind of boring lol..

  • nice video, nice footwork.

  • you know, since you cut up the video and probably repeated parts [you can see the jump cut when the hand jumps], this video has lost some credibility...good exercise though

  • that is so impressive, especially how you are keeping your left foot moving like that. Thanks for sharing man.

  • its' obviously a axis..

  • actually trick makes a very similar pedal so it not that obvious.....

  • no, there those trick-1 pedals i think

  • Never call an Axis AL-2 a Trick! ;-)

  • there trick

  • What kind of pedal you use? is it a detanator?

  • pretty good i wood jus like u no more teaching since u did post this as a lesson, half way through i fergot wut the beginning wuz

  • pretty clean player..but not that hard ;)

  • hey man thanks for this video this exercise has really halped with my technique except I dont tap the drum I strive for a full stroke, but thank you for the ideas

  • Jesus, I wish I could keep a steady beat at that tempo with one foot.

  • thats a Pro1 double bass pedal, its titanium and also cost $700 US dollars...

  • it's an axis A2. can't tell if it's a longboard or not. they're steel and aluminum. you're right on the cost at least

  • I'm pretty sure they

  • aren´t that Axis longboards?

  • isnt tapping frowned upon?

  • where did u get that trick pedel ( or isi trix?)

and how much did it cost

  • its axis u dumbass
