Great tone and playing, but to get anywhere close to his sound, you need to use more vibrato everywhere and let some emotion come out of your fret hand. You seem almost robotic while playing, especially the bends. Tone is great and I'd kill for that custom.
it lacked the emotion randy has when he plays, but your precison is amazing, u just play sorta like a robot lol, but Im guessing uve played this a million and one times (due to the fact that its a flawless cover)
dude amazing cover, can you please give me your amp settings because I'm learning to play this but when I play it isn't that great because there's too much feedback
That's awesome, man.... You rock... Randy/Ozzy versions of Sabbath are just better... Me and my band cover Paranoid, Snow Blind and this... Play all 3 as the Randy versions.. You sound great... Keep rockin, bro....
@anthrow Thank you. I read all kinds of diverging opinions about the tone ! This time, I pushed the reverb, not unlike the sound on that song from the Tribute album. Some disagree but I like it.
Well-excuted pal, it really is an amazing solo. What fascinates me is that Randy probably came up with it in about 5 minutes... he was that much of a virtuoso.
Yep. I listened to various bootlegs and think this version is Randy's very best by far. Thus, I wonder... Like the band knew the show would be recorded, and Randy did what he had to do.
i hope i wasnt the only one who had a slight chuckle at the video information section to the right of the video where it says the album is called "Master of Realty" instead of reality tee hee
I don't know how you kids play stuff like this so easily. I beat the damn skin off my hands choppin off this piece! Hey man, good playin but put on a cooler shirt.
I'm playing on a Les Paul Custom 57. The signal is processed by an old Boss GX 700 for distortion, equalizer, reverb and speaker simulator (Marshall stack) as I don't have any amp !
This time, I pushed the reverb up a bit, probably with a Tribute-like live atmosphere in mind.
May I have this fantastic tabs? *_* <3

This beautiful solo is Randy's. Tribute album (live): Cleveland, Ohio, 1981.

Any tabs for this man? WIthout one of my favorite Randy solos. That melodic part towards the metal always gives me goosebumps. Amazing job!
randyrhoads82rip 2 years ago
The whole Tribute album was transcribed by Wolf Marshall and edited by Cherry Lane. A must have.
pdgf1997 2 years ago
Yeah then maybe I should but it then. Randy's guitar playing is astounding live. Great that they took the time to tab it out!
