nice to come into christchurch on SQ on a sunny, day, had that twice and you get a good view of the canterbury plains in bright sunshine.

Not the nicest trip is it ... you leave Singapore at about 8pm and land in Christchurch at almost midday - I can never sleep.

@illuminatedtiger well after you depart Singapore they give you your dinner, and then they turn the cabin lights off so you can go to sleep so you can actually get about an 8hr sleep. I think it's quite good.

Am sure they will play that too when we are bracing for a crash landing when both engines fail and they are going to die, helps to soothe the nerves. hee hee

It's the piped music on board the plane that they seem to turn on during take offs and landngs, probably to create a soothing atmosphere.  Irritating isn't it?
