  • weeza weeza weeza lol

  • I like Matt Sharp more.

  • Rivers <3

  • I got here by randomly typing why bother

  • the shirt over Pat's face=nose Job

  • elton john would like to suck rivers dick

  • elton john is gay ?

  • At the beginning of this video, Rivers has a similar look just like Matt Damon in "Saving Private Ryan"

  • Holy sexy Rivers!! Oh and I LOVE how Brian is playing the guitar in this! I just saw them live a couple weeks ago! Woohoo!! Best night ever!

  • "WEEZAH! WEEZAH!"

  • The most disappointing shot. 2:52

  • @SuperNiceHat

It'd suck to think you were rocking out, but then see guys like that just standing there,

  • Why do the guitars sound like they are being played out of a tin can? I mean I can definitely see the Marshall amps behind them. Is this just bad audio perhaps? I heard that later on in their career, weezer used Line 6 POD guitar modeling processors through the P.A. system, instead of amps for an entire tour, due to budget.

  • is it me or does brians arm look weird at 1:37

  • @YouKnowWeFunny79 You pretty much have to do that when playing the chorus on guitar.

  • Blue

    Pinkerton

    Red

    Hurley

    Maladroit

    Green

    Make Believe

    Raditude

  • Hopefully with "Hurley" Weezer will be good again, but nothing they ever do will ever match the awesomeness they had with Pinkerton

  • genial

  • Blue

    Red

    Pinkerton

    Green

    Maladroit

    Make Believe

    Raditude

  • In all fairness, Pinkerton was like 90% Rivers.

  • Matt and Weezer = Peanut Butter and Jelly... it just works!

  • @ColorsBright

EXACTLY..THATS WAT I HAV ALWAYS BEEN SAYIN..MATT SHARP AND WEEZER..ITS LIKE HE WAS BORN FOR WEEZE..I THINK THEY FELL APART WEN HE LEFT..BLUE ALBU AND PINKERTON WAS REAL WEEZER..BUT I STILL LUV WEEZER BCUZ OF WAT THEY DID N THERE EARLY YEARS..THEY HAD 2 OF THE BEST ROCK ALBUMS N THE 90'2 AND IT WAS REMINISCENT OF 1950'S ROCK AND ROLL WITH A SLIGHT PIECE OF GEEKY TOUCH TO IT..GREAT STUFF

  • A classic! The band is truly in top form here.

  • Why hell is Patrick wearing a towel over his head?

  • @SomeonePunchedMe Cuz it's gotta be fucking hot up there!

  • Hey man, I love all their albums except Maladriot, I usally forget that one even exists lol...But then anything with Rivers voice is good with me.

  • @HydesBadAssChickFan "anything with Rivers voice is good with me."

with all due respect, you've heard the song they did for the world cup? and all of raditude [except IYWIIWYT(IWYT), one fucking long title)?

  • @BiscuitsJoe Well, like I said I love River's voice, even if the song or songs do suck, if he's singing the song it's not completely bad to me. But "to each his own" I'm not forcing anyone to have my opinion.

  • Blue album is by far their best album

  • Who else loves it when Rivers screams?

  • Blue Album-Amazing

Pinkerton-OMG The best album (Enough to love =w= Forever)

    Green Album-A few songs amazing

    Maladroit-A few songs amazing

    Make Believe-A few songs amazing

Red Album-Amazing(Greatest Man is the best song ever)

    Raditute-A few songs amazing

To many people listen to new =w= stuff and they only think about the blue album and pinkerton! In fact: I LOVE =w=

  • I thought make believe was a very good album...no where near as good as blue/pinkerton though

  • fucking awesome! PINKERTON RULES!!!!!!

  • Oh! This is Weezer... What the fuck happened to them? They still around? ;o)

  • hi

    I thought ratidude was awesome.

but only after i saw them live and they played the songs. so much energy.

  • I had tickets to see them live, but the day before I was supposed to see them, rivers got in that accident. Q.Q

  • me too. i was mad and sad.

  • Blue Album- OMG this is the best album ever!

Pinkerton- No wait this is the best album ever!

Green Album- Not too bad I guess

Maladriot- Oooh things are picking up

    Make Believe- Argh my ears!

Red Album- This shit just got interesting, i like

Raditude- No wait its turned poppy on me :s

  • @michaelkay perfect.

  • @michaelkay : I'd say that's a pretty accurate synopsis of each weezer album released thus far. Blue and "Pink" still hold up as the best. Green and Maladroit were prob the last two " really good" weezer albums, even though bassist Matt Sharp was long gone by that point. I think weezer and Sharp should set their differences aside and regroup. Rivers Cuomo even admits that some of his favorite weezer moments were with with Matt Sharp. The original bassist brought a lot of fresh ideas to weezer.

  • @rowidz Yeah, but I don't think Matt would ever come back, especially not with the direction that the Weez is headed at the moment. He's got his own stuff going on, and if you like early weezer, you should check out his band the rentals.

  • @BiscuitsJoe Yep, Matt is never returning probably. There were lawsuits over song rights, arguments, etc...Actually, I have all the Rentals albums and the Matt Sharp solo albums. I'm not saying that weezer died without Matt Sharp, but there was certainly something stellar about them during the short time span he was in the band.

  • @rowidz Totally agree with you.

  • @michaelkay Hurley = a step in the right direction

  • @michaelkay Hurley - greatest comeback ever from a band

  • @michaelkay OH MY GOD NONONO! BLUE ALBUM IS A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER THAN PINKERTON,I HATE PEOPLE WHO SAY PINKERTON IS THE BEST

  • @shocker96 ok blue album is great but not anywhere close to as good as pinkerton!

  • "It's a hideous record... It was such a hugely painful mistake that happened in front of hundreds of thousands of people and continues to happen on a grander and grander scale and just won't go away. It's like getting really drunk at a party and spilling your guts in front of everyone and feeling incredibly great and cathartic about it, and then waking up the next morning and realizing what a complete fool you made of yourself."- Rivers Cuomo..i like pink but Blue is the all time favorite

  • @shocker96 I've read that same quote before. River said that because he was ashamed of the 2nd worse album of the year rating the rolling stone gave it. However in time the brillence of the album became clear to the fans and critics. The writing is far deeper tahn anything weezer has ever put out. Maybe as you get old kid youll understand it better. Nowadays Rivers Rivers doesnt like to play pinkerton like because it is an album about a very difficult time in his life.

  • @lickapotato hey i know...ik im a kid,im 15 but iv heard it before and the only songs i liked were scorch, why bother, good life, falling for you, sex, triangle, across the sea....only thing i dont like about it is some of the songs are depressing, but like the blue albums songs are happy and i can relate to more

  • @shocker96 See that the thing! River wrote Pinkerton in one of the darkest points in his life. He was living an isolated life at harvard with no friends, no family, no love, and a busted leg. The songs range from longing to ask out the girl of your dreams but being to afraid too (el scorcho) to crushing the spirit of the one girl who loved you (butterfly). The song butterfly is about rivers tricking a girl who was in love with him into bed, but the next day he left her.

  • @shocker96 It hurts me to think of how bad rivers felt after what he did to that poor girl. If you know the story of madam butterfly you can see that rivers can really realate to the character pinkerton. This album is raw angry and emotional and its something weezer can never reproduce.

  • @lickapotato thats true...thres never going to be another blue or pink, buti still like their music though

  • @shocker96 I caould listen to everything untill Raditude. Thats when it bacame all to clear to me that Rivers forgot all he knew about songwriting.

  • @lickapotato haha..yeah, i like all the albums though

  • @shocker96 Sorry that I could not fit that all into one comment

  • @michaelkay make believe had some good songs

  • @michaelkay Hurley - AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • @michaelkay more like:

Blue Album - Album of the year, all years

Pinkerton - Our God is an AWESOME God.

    Green - shit

    Maladroit - shit

    Make Believe - shit

    Red - shit

    Raditude - shit

  • @AnonHateMachine agreed.

  • @michaelkay weezer is like a roller coaster they have there ups and downs

  • @michaelkay, well put...

  • Interesting to see how different we look at things. In my ears Weezer on Raditude sounds better, more inspired and happy than in many years.

  • i miss that blue strat...

  • blue album- brilliant

pinkerton- brilliant, slightly better then blue album

green album- awesome, "poppy" but great melodies and harmonic progressions

maladroit- brilliant (perhaps their finest album to date)

make believe- poor, marks weezers turn into pure commercialism

red album- pretty good, original but still off the mark

    raditiude- WTF?!

  • Wrong, they got worse after pinkerton

  • @zaclavender you do realise it's all personal opinion

  • blue album - brilliant

    pinkerton - brilliant

everything else after slowly gets worse and worse.

  • Exactly

  • yeahh i agree....its sad

  • lolz, "WEEZUH WEEZUH WEEZUH WEEZUH"

  • blue album-brilliant

    pinkerton-brilliant

    green album-awesome

    maladriot-brilliant

    make believe-brilliant

    red album-takes getting used to

raditude-see them in concert first and play the songs, then you'll love it.

  • Blue Album-briliant

    Pinkerton-even more brilliant

green album-over rated over produced crap

    Maladroit-decent

    Make Believe-horrible

    Red Album-not too bad

Raditude-finally kills the good name of weezer

  • make believe is a great album no matter what ppl say

  • ummmmmm, people generally say stuff for a reason, like maybe if an album is shit

  • Pinkerton is one of the greatest albums of the 90s and one of the greatest albums of all time.

  • lol look at pat

  • what are you fucking nuts? Maladroit kicked ass. it's easily the most riff-filled album and most rocking, not to mention the solos.

  • i wish i could hear the drums

  • rivers's "yeah!" at 2:37 is scary.

  • Hey listen I love Blue and Pinkerton as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to pretend I liked Make Believe just because I liked their earlier work.

  • Maladriot was much better.

  • just because you like blue and pinkerton is dosnt mean you cant love make believe as much

  • perfect situations a good song though

  • idg why pinkerton got such bad reviews

all of weezers albums are kickass idk if i can pick a favorite but srsly rolling stone said pinkerton suckd i wanted to punch them godam retards

  • I agree Pinkerton was awesome, it probably was too new for the 90's but is now more appreciated becausd of its awesome songs

  • WIZZZZZZA WIZZZZZZZZZA WIZZZZZA

  • ha. germans yellin WEEZA WEEZA!

  • weezer heil!

  • I really do love every Weezer album, but Pinkerton was easily their best.

  • I couldn't have said it better.

  • I think Pinkerton was them at their best. I like The Red Album and The Blue Album and everything but this was seriously an amazing album.

  • too bad it didnt get great reviews

  • Pat's drumming on Pinkerton is so good.

  • whats up with the drums on this?

  • lost deep in the (rather non existent) mix i think... these videos are dope but the sound quality is pretty bad

  • Yes. I wish there was a good quality version of this gig. Looks to be amazing.

  • I hate when people say "you arent a true fan if you like/dont like this era." A true fan likes whatever the fuck he wants, regardless of everyone elses opinion. and, in my single opinion, blue and pinkerton were the best by far.

  • True fans like all their work no matter what.

  • Eh? well no......i do like all their work, but I'm also a Metallica, Ramones, and TMV fan for instance. Those three bands have release a LOT of crap, but the rest is too golden to ever forget.

  • No doubt. But I love every CD they have.

  • sadly when you are devout like that people then call you a nuthugger. I could care less. I love some of their stuff, and dislike some of their stuff. Oh well. That is what separates the hits from the dips.

  • Yeah Blue and Pinkerton are the best. Green´s got some music too...

  • blue and pinkerton are the best by far

  • @SoxCody I totally agree! I didn't even get in to Weezer until Has Pipe and I think the older stuff is way better. But I still like a lot of it.

  • pinkerton is their best record

  • agree

  • I didn't say they weren't good, I said that their work in the '90s were better. That was their 'Golden Age' to say.

  • i cant stop listening to it :P

  • this song is... W0W just about my life story!!!

  • if the songs on pinkerton were all from personal experience, then rivers and i have a very similar relationship history. even the lesbian bit lol.

  • I love how nasty sounding that was, especially the solo.

  • Rivers sang it originally and sang it before Brian did.

  • NEWFAG RED ALBUM FAG ALERT!!!1

  • brian shouldnt sing it... he changes the words and sings it all happy

  • yea thats true i like it both ways but i like it alot more when its rivers

  • ah this truly is the golden age of weezer. when rivers actually played this song himself and actually showed real engery live

  • I feel kind of sorry for Weezer. Some of their songs are really cool, but its not easy to dance or headbang to any of them, so it must always look like the crowd is only half interested.

  • "Pinkerton" is beastly, one of the greatest albums of all time. "The Blue Album" was as well fantastic. They almos truined themselves with the awful "Make Believe", but "The Red Album" was a step back in the right direction, though they haven't reclaimed this type of talent yet.

  • That sums it up almost perfectly Frus.

  • thank you, you're spot on

  • lol what is pat wearing on his head

  • such energy! Today's weezer's performances lack this energy badly

  • no the first part is brian on lead then rivers joins him about halfway

  • wait so is rivers the lead guitar??

  • yeah.

  • WEZZA! WEZZA! WEZZA!

  • =w=

  • one of the rare brian bell solos

  • I better keep whack'n!

  • I LOVE weezer

  • anyone notice you cant hear the drums in this song?

  • When Matt Sharp left the band a part of Rivers Died.

  • agreed

  • you're fuckin right man!

  • its probably no coincidence that Matt Sharp left right after Pinkerton was released and flopped (the thing that caused Rivers to disappear for years)

Yeah, I'm sure Matt's disappearance is the reason Rivers isnt the same from his earlier years.

Not the fact his most personal and (at the time) proud album was declared one of the worse albums of the year

  • Yes it flopped and was his most personal album, but the old rivers was the way he was because of the way mathew sharp rubbed off on him. I bet if you put them in a room together for 3 months rivers would be back to his old ways.

  • Yea, I hope so, because now I fucking hate the new Rivers.

  • But you gotta love that moustache :P. "The Red Album" was a huge step above the awful "Make Believe," so there's still hope. I'm seeing them in October, so I'll see how their performance is now.

  • you don't know Weezer that well then

those are the worst albums of there collection

  • Ah you're right, just because Rivers doesn't sing about awkward love anymore, his new CD's will never be good no matter what

    **end Saracasm

  • Im not saying they're bad. I love all of the albums. I just think that the earlier, the better.

  • All I know is Pinkerton is a fucking incredible album, I don't care how many it sold but I love it. Matt's loss for being out of weezer (and weezer's loss, but to a much lesser extent).

  • Lol, FANTASTIC. What happened to Rivers enthusiasm in the past 10 years? :P

  • so i betta keep a whackin'

  • the guy at 43 sec cracks me open! HAHAHAHA

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hahahahaha

  • lol

  • nice towel, Pat!

  • wow. weezer actually rocking out while they play!

    who would have thought?

  • crack it open let me out of heeeere
