After watching the entire series on netflix, i really thought this finale was SOOOO DISAPPOINTING...

And they really should've made a movie. This franchise could've been so much more, but now it's just an old TV show. If they had branched out and made a film, it would have increased interest in the franchise, and they could've had MANY more video game titles (on the newer, better platforms), and we'd all be playing a God of War type game with Xena starring.

Sigh.. oh well.

She bury her sword and all of her clothes ih the ground. She never took it back. She used a sacred katana because it was the only weapon that could kill Yodoshi.

She allows herself to be killed because it was the only way she could kill Yodoshi and set all of those souls free. When she killed him, Gabrielle took her ashes and went to put it in the Fountain of Strength on mountain Fuji because it was the only way Xena could resurrect. But Xena stops her from doing that because if she resurrescts, souls wouldn't be set free. So Xena dies forever, but her spirit keeps on living following Gabrielle on her way to Egypt.

fact is, i was really taken back and i couldnt believe neither my eyes nor my ears when i saw xena being killed..of course she let it happen, but, ok, it was kinda dejecting for me after all these episodes of incredible action...it was good though!

I mean, I can't remember what the episode is called, but the one who was always following them around, the reporter guy, the question he asked Gab was if she was in love with Xena...well, watch that and even though she still doesn't say it, you get your answer. Among like every other episode you'll see it to.

She could have come back to life if she that's what she wanted. But, if she did that, all the souls would have still been lost. Gab bagged her to come back...just watch it. I think the ending was great. Also, they used that ending instead of another ending. Which was supposed to be Xena, and Gab revealing their love for each other. They said that in an actual interview...so...I'd say there is more proof for their relationship.

For me, it's just pretty clear they loved each other. I mean, watch Deja Vu - All Over Again, the way Harry (who is bearing Xena's soul) and Gabrielle immediately fall in love with each other... Watch the Nothern Trilogy, the way Gab tells Brunhilda off when the Valkyrie tells her she loves her. Gab answers that she and Xena are meant to be together... I wouldn't say to my sister my love for her is endless... And there are so many other examples...

I'm not telling you should consider them lovers. I'm just really tired of people pretending that seeing Xena and Gab as a couple is a "gay thing" as if the gay community was manipulating the show to find lesbian icons. That's so close-minded. Considering all these elements, I do believe it was the intention of the writers to make them lovers and, personally, I'm satisfied with that because it seems to me that Gab is the best person for Xena, better than Ares in any case.

And NOT because she's a woman but because she accepts her for who she is, because she would sacrifice anything for her, because she truly knows her etc. The fact that Ares is a man and Gab a woman is really not relevant to me. I do not care about their sexual identity and I do not care about their sexual orientation. I just think Gab is a better match for Xena. And it has nothing to do with my own sexual orientation (for the record I'm not gay).

For your information, many straight people believe they were lovers, just as it never occured to some gay people that they were more than friends. It might not have been the intention of the writers, at first, to make them lovers, but it's definitly the path the show took on the end. Ah je me doutait bien que ca ne pouvait etre que du Hans Zimmer. C'est le meilleur compositeur je trouver et j'aime sa musique je peux l'écouter des heures durantes sans me lasser.

Oui pour le montage je vois ce que tu veux dire, j'en fais moi même et c'est vrai que le plus dure c'est de l'imaginer. Moi en général une fois que j'ai la musique adéquat, le montage passe tout seul. Je me laisse guider par la musique et tout se construit tout seul dans mon esprit. Encore bravo.

Vraiment une superbe video. L'émotion et tout y est. J'ai déjà vu et revue les derniers épisodes et ca m'as bien redonné envie de les revoir là maintenant.

De plus la musique est vraiment magnifique. Et on vois bien que la vidéo concorde parfairement avec la musique. Tu as mis combien de temps à faire ce montage? Ca à dut te demander pas mal de boulot... C'est quoi comme chanson ? De qui ?

Merci beaucoup! La musique est de Hans Zimmer ;) J'ai mis pas mal d'heures à faire cette vidéo: ce qui m'a demandé le plus de temps c'est de constituer mon petit storyboard "mental". Ca peut mettre des semaines à murir, et parfois 2 jours. Le montage en lui même a du prendre environ 6 h, le temps de tout caller et de faire les transitions ainsi que les diverses modifications (cholorimétrie, etc) ce qui est peu, mais qd tout est planifié on gagne bcp de temps
