Its a 35th because of the wing. If its got the stock boot then its a 35, the 40 has a different wing. And the 35th also has the pony circled on the side.

Why bother with Shorties? MAC makes a set of shorty headers for $250, but for $20 more bucks, you can get a set of stainless steel long tubes. On my 2000 V6, I installed the MAC long tubes, which deleted the cats altogether. I adapted the Y-pipe to mate with the headers, and then added a performace cat-back exhaust. The performance gain from the LTs is well worth the extra $20.

custom o/r H-pipe with flowmaster 40's. Boomz CAI off ebay, just as good as a BBK or K&N but for 50$ less. and maybe some MAC longtubes, if your state emmissions allow it, and you"ll be sounding good. no more questions , go out to the shops for some price quotes

I also have a 1999 v6 yellow mustang. I just bought it and the person who had it before me installed a bbk cold air intake system and to what i believe is a magnaflow catback exhaust system because the tail pipes say magnaflow. do you know what else it could have because i noticed it is unusually loud compared to friends of mine who have the intake and exhaust?

I just bought myself one a few weeks ago. Stock 99 identical to this minus the dual exhaust. Any ideas for some mods i could do to it ranging in the 100s? I was thinking bout cold air intake but I have no idea what brand's the best to go with, cause I've heard no name cold air intakes suck.

As long as it's a fender well cold air kit your ok. Check ebay, thats where I got mine along time ago. MAC make a good kit, looks nice to with the crome. Good luck and speed safe. ;)
