  • Bleed me a fucking river! Want more money? DO MORE WORK! That is how the rest of this fucking planet gets by! Might not be able to afford health insurance??? GIVE ME A BREAK! Do voice overs for car commercials or something! All those big guys you are ranting about did exactly that When they weren't in front of one camera, they were in front of a microphone. That is what it takes now. The 70s and 80s are dead! Get over it!

  • @Ozlanthos -fuck you ........oz

  • Read the news and see that the major studios are on track for yet another record breaking box office year in 2009. They can afford to give SAG a better contract, not just standard of living increases of 3 and 3.5 % accross the board. So... SAG earns standard increases while our employers earn EXCELENT returns from generous consumer wallets.

  • TO SAG ACTORS VERY IMPORTANT

    VOTE NO ON NEW CONTRACT

Your SAG President says to, to 1) protect our union and 2) gain LEVERAGE.

Your image will be used for free in perpertuity, plus no more OT or meal penalties

VOTE NO to help kick out producer puppets who've infiltrated our union.

Remember, producers NEVER PLAY FAIR, ALWAYS GO BACK ON THEIR WORD & WILL NOT revisit residual issue (like DVDs 20 yrs ago).

VOTE NO ON NEW CONTRACT, IT'S UNFAIR!

VOTE NO, VOTE NO! VOTE NO!

  • Variety is saying a deal has most likely been reached - SAG/Producers meet again Tuesday.

Remember Actors -- NO NEW MEDIA RESIDUALS - NO CONTRACT! IT IS OUR FUTURE!! THEY'VE TAKEN ENOUGH FROM US ALREADY - NOT MEETING OUR QUOTES, LESS HEALTH CARE, ETC. FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE!

  • cort, just looked at your stuff on IMDB and from what I saw, you are just a kid that really hasn't been around long enough to understand what's at stake. Take the thumb out of your mouth and start learning what's at stake. You've fallen off your bike much too often and fallen on your head. Maybe you need a brain scan.

  • LOL Yep just a kid. Over 130 credits, 250 + episodes of TV, 4 emmy nominations 1 SAG award and Just a Kid! LOL you have no credibility with a statement like that!

  • Scott Wilson is a member of Membership First! He is part of the reason we are in this mess. The "Written Assent" happened do to the fact that Membership first's Alan Rosenburg was acting like a dictator!! Alan R. needs to be Impeached!! Alan was quoted saying that he will vote down any deal that made, Good or bad. thats leadership for you!

Scott and David get a clue!!

  • Hi, Corthree: Could you please substantiate your U4S rhetoric before you dig your baseless, management centric hole any deeper? And please site the quote that Rosenberg would "vote down any deal, good or bad." Oh, also could you give everyone your IMDB link? We'd like to see if you have anything at stake in the outcome of the contract. It will help us take you seriously.

  • Baseless?? your kidding! what happened in the 28 hour meeting. NOTHING thanks to Alan and Anne-Marie. As for the Qoute it came from the SPD Forum stating it was from Verity. You can look up my IMDB any time you would like just click on my profile and do your home work. You seam to be the one hiding under an alias "Membership First" By the way I'm not U4S I'm for getting a real contract! You are mistaking if you think I'll settle for whats on the table now.

  • We lost the Hard line approach as soon as AFTRA signed!! You can Thank Membership first for running AFTRA away from SAG. Don't worry Membership First I'll stop posting the truth so you can have this platform to continue to try to fool the membership! by the way what is the last contract that Membership First won for us? Good luck everyone I've had it. I'll keep my post to myself now. BYE!

  • Alan R told me in person " So what if new shows go AFTRA you can still work on them" I replied "Can SAG survive without A TV contract if all "new" shows go AFTRA?" He had no response to that. This guy has lost the confidence of the majority of the membership. He is now causing the contract talks to stall. He must resign or be impeached.

  • OK 1 last post, then no more. Looks like u4s has come to a possible deal but I bet Membership first will find something wrong with it! and blame u4s as failing! remember though Membership first's last and finale offer from AMPTP "not even close. I would tell the AMPTP that if it was retro that I would send it out to the membership!

  • What amazes me is that only 3,000 something people have watched this. I know a LOT of Actors who have NO idea what is going on but will not take the time to watch this.

  • I am not going to see another another movie in the theater with George Clooney. Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, Denny Devito and all those greedy people who is taking away from the middle class!!!

    Booooooooooooo.

  • Scott Wilson is the "real deal" a working actor with a great career. He is not afraid to stand up and speak about what is happening now after 7 months of non-negotiations by the producers. Imagine it being even harder for us to get health care?. Hurray Scott for standing up for the middle class actor.

Passion isn't anger. I don't fear debate but now we have been gagged. Perhaps we can negotiate if we have passion for our rights. I will be joining the rally physically.

  • Rooneytune --- "Doug has had his chance at negotiating a better deal. The bully approach hasn't worked..."

Are you high? Were you in the Negotiating Room? How do you think collective bargaining works? What in the hell do you think he was doing all that time? The guy was the best hire SAG has ever had. He tried to negotiate a better deal but the AMPTP left the June 30 deal on the table as LB&F. That deal screws the Middle Class... The very group of actors he was paid to protect.

  • As a SAG member for 30 years I am appalled by the behavior of the A-List of actors who now have more in common with the AAMPTP and the studios than with their fellow actors. This betrayal is not only an egregious abandonment of responsibility but most assuredly is sending the wrong message. I am very close to the burial site of James Cagney, one of the founders...so a message to Streep, Baldwin, DeVito and Clooney...don't make me apologise for your behavior when next I go by to see him.

  • there's apparently a LOT of misinformation out there as to what's actually being monetized online at the moment ... wonder what's behind the smokescreen???

  • Keep fighting the good fight!

  • sorry i'm Italian and I didn' understand .. but Meryl Streep Matt Damon .. have done something right?

  • Can you imagine Mick Jagger and Bono saying, "musicians should give up residuals and not be paid for use of their music because the Stones and U2 have already made millions from the system. So who cares if the bands coming up can make a dime?" George Clooney and Matt Damon have become very unattractive.

  • Here it is whether you like it or not: MANAGEMENT has kept SAG out for 7 months. MANAGEMENT has kept the rollbacks on the table for 7 months. MANAGEMENT has not negotiated in good faith for 7 months. MANAGEMENT has continued to state for the past 7 months it wants to produce New Media content non-union. MANAGEMENT won't negotiate ANY way to employ SAG actors under the $15000 threshold. MANAGEMENT told the Federal Mediator that they were done. And so on, and so on...

  • Oy. Once again, the mantra "they screwed up Negotiations." If the "Unite For Strength" sycophants that keep the rhetoric alive would just admit that they're okay with the June 30 deal then at least there would be some semblance of reasoning for U4S's argument. Doug Allen and the Committee could have shook hands on that months ago. But, to imply there was some other process, some other behavior that would have secured a fair deal that the SAG Membership would vote up is ignorant.

  • Right on

  • These guys are the real deal. Look them up on IMDB. SAG Members should listen to THEM!
