I played Contra recently and it is just a superhard shooting game. Probotector was cool with the robots, but it also conjured up memories of watching Robotech and Mospeada when I was a little kid.

You know, most European players are happy they got Probotector instead of Contra. American players would enjoy them aswell if they had gotten Probotector instead of Contra in the first place, but they all grew up with testosterone commando soldiers from Contra instead of our war machines from Probotector... It's all about which ones you grew up with. I'm darn happy we got Probotector, but I also understand people who wan't to play with Contra characters.

Just added that in the last stage, the aliens can´t reach Probotector when perform a jump and probotector is grabbing in those things in the ceiling), but they can reach Mad Dog, Bill, Lance, Scorpion... you can prove it in Mutt Hunt 5 (for example), at the point you gram the "M" at the begining of this challenge.

Actually it was made with humans. But in Europe they had this big controversy thinking that at the time killing other "humans" would have a nagative impact on the children. Germany actually was the one that started having a fit with the original contra. When Konami made it it was meant to the way it turned out.

The girls in the game are different, as well. (Isn't it funny how they're the only ones in game with a 1 handed gun so their jubblies can be seen clearly?) If they fire straight up, the line of fire is more off-center than the other characters.

Probotector is definitely a larger model. His line of fire is also lower than the others when he's firing from the hip. Go figure.
