Live in south africa under the oppression that i am many other non whites faced and then ask what nelson mandela did. He fought in mkonto wesizwe to end the oppression. he lead many demonstrations. he helped smuggle good people out of the country. Do you know anyhting about the treason trials. he was the lawyer that defended many who fought for freedom.
@DavidAKZ incorrect, he faced the death penalty for treason. Planning mass attacks across the country. I witnesses one of his bomb blasts, no different to Bin Laden dude.
@DaSlug32 put yourself in this mans shoes and than u will understand his anger...im sure u would do the same thing...ex:i beat u up 24/7 are u gonna fight back? i bet your answer is yes...like i said try putting yourself in his shoes back in the day
@cross10ksu the whiteys time to rule is comiing to an end the power is shifting back to the east...africa will rise up and take the fight to europe and kill all those whiteys...hahahhahahhaa...we all take turns to rule
@cross10ksu how did MLK stand jokers like you? I forgive you. And I forgive your rediculous reply. You can't help it. You're just not big enough yet to think yourself into someone else's shoes. You can't help it. But you'll grow out of it. You'll get older. You'll get wiser. At the moment - just be careful what you say in public. ;-)
he still is one of if not the greatest man on earth.the 46664 concerts still attract thousands of people. even being almost 90, he's still admired by many(black & white). for example desmond tutu & Bono from U2. Great respect, mister Nelson Mandela!!
Simply put, he did good work for his people---went from being labelled a terrorist to being applauded by his opponents for his peace and reconciliation efforts in Racist South Africa. But you're right... There are millions of people just like him across the world today. We should applaud everyone one them (and follow their example)!

I certainly did not think about this particular issue in that way before and it opened some serious discussion for me on this topic.
