  • This is beyond beautiful.

  • sublime

  • haha, the backdrop ooks like a confessionary box. lol

  • You know the space between the notes? Yeah, thats music too. Just because he's not shredding like Andy Mckee or Antoine Dufour doesn't mean he's any less of a musician, it just means he appreciates being HARMONICALLY (chords) complex as opposed to showcasing his technical abilities.

  • this is simply something i can listen to all the day long.....

  • Just.. beautiful...

  • Way of Music : Learning Basics -> Improving over Years - > slowly getting own style -> still improving -> now the way of every musican differs ... they strife their OWN path. They are all on ONE level of playing, they just play their OWN music :)

    Thats just the only difference.

Everyone haves preferences, i like all candyrat record artists and many more.... music is art and a lifestyle. Just enjoy and appreciate!

  • beautiful

  • this is true music the emotion the pashion(idk if i spelled that right)the talent the love so strong yet so simple what alot of dont under stand that just listen to the sound the sound of true music

  • I love the approach you take with this song, it compels to the passion and even adds an almost blue grass essence to the independence of the cords.

  • This is amazing!

  • This music is true music.

  • at times we often forget that beauty in music doesn't have to be complex, but even the simplest chords and melodies when played can soothe and shelter us. We become hole again in music's gentle embrace

  • The Old Times... Beautiful Ladys, brave Knights... And so ...

  • ...just as good as "Mist of the mourning" in his own right...

    ...brilliant...

...the way he lets the music breathe is extraordinary...

  • this is one badass masterpiece. I almost shed a tear first time I heard it

  • So did I. This song is an extraordinary example of the sometimes exquisite beauty of simplicity. Perfect. But then I feel that way about almost all of Magraw's work.

  • ...*Drifts into an intoxicating sense of tranquility while listening to this brilliance*...

This was one of the most relaxing songs that I've heard in a while. Thank you..

    5/5

  • A true artist... No matter the volume of its content!!

  • This reminds me of classical gass

  • Brilliant song, the melancholic tone is deeply moving.

It's not how it's played, it's how it sounds.

    And this, sounds beautiful.

  • peasful , relaxing , lovin

  • ... thank you....

  • pace e tranquillità

    aB - Italy -

  • I felt armony and peace. That´s enough for me.I think music isnot a skill competition, but just an art. and becouse of that, we can´t messure it by the complexity of someone´s fingers movements. The movements we should messure are not the ones U can see on the video, but the ones U can´t see from Ur eyes to the outside. See what he is trying to say through music, and what U could feel. That´s music 4,and that makes it an art i guess (Not a skill show). I felt armony and peace,enough4me!

  • Thank you!!! You are so correct. Its not a competition but art. Im glad a few people are realizing that. :)

  • this is a very clever piece of music that although uses only a few simple chords the creativity here is in the tone of the chords and the timing. well done

  • music is a form of art in which one can express their soul. when it comes to music with emotion, its just as important to not play and be very very simple than it is to shred. they are two completely different ways of thinking/playing/developing yourself musically.

your comment on the timing and the tone was right on. :D

if only more people would take the time to LISTEN to the music instead of LOOKING at it and making comments about the tempo or the complexity, am i right?

  • wouldn't it be nice if people stop caring about the complexity of the skill involved, this is music not sport. Just like it or don't, that's how i see it.

  • yeah seriously! so what if this is slow and easy...it sounds great and thats the point...nothing else really matters.

  • I'd say, it's not very complicated, but still I find it very interesting and beutiful.

  • the most beautiful music...

makes me think of what i love in this world..

  • I think that this song, Angle, and its follow-up, Angle II both exemplify the beauty of simplicity. No, they aren't difficult to play, but that isn't the measure of a song.

  • id like to see u play that

  • anyone could play it but very few could make it sound this good, thats the skill i guess.

  • he carefully analyzes what chords to use,you can tell he knows his chords

  • amen, just beautiful

  • jesus everyone just shut the fuck up and listen to music. fuckkk

  • word!

  • Magiczne, piękne, z klimatem...

  • his classical guitar pieces are so beautiful and then his electric guitar.. not so much :P if you ask me i think he should stick to his amazing classical.

  • his electric ones arnt that bad but his acoustic ones are better i think

  • I think that this video deserves a standing ovation and enjoyment, not petty comparisons. Every artist, small time or big time, is an expression of the best of what God has given him/her. It deserves respect, not censure. And certainly not a comparison.

    Case closed.

  • TABS! please

  • its very beautiful and peaceful..

  • Absolutely beautiful. This guy is way too underappreciated.

  • I hate that so many people are too stupid to appreciate this music and how much better it is than a lot of famous and modern bands

  • mr.OTucker, i think you haven't any right to call people stupid.

its a bit hateful and i don't much appreciate it, regardless of who it may be aimed at.

so i ask, ever so kindly, if you might take a reprieve from such language when commenting these fine YouTube videos.

  • grow a pair... many people are too stupid to appreciate this...

  • Well, Mr.YoungBL i am aware that there are far too few people who appreciate this music, i really am, but once again i hold to the standard of not calling them stupid for not hearing it.

so please abandon your efforts at doing so.

especially seeing as how most of the people who dont appreciate this music dont hear it and therefore cannot read your petty insults

  • do you honestly think they would give it a chance though if they did hear it?

  • not only does his playing sound amazing, the guitar itself does too... that combination makes for a very powerful listening experience. great job.

  • People really need to stop linking up speed to skill. Seriously. Sure, it takes lots of skill to shred all over the guitar (as long as you do it clean,) but none of you asshats that are talking down this performance can play, let alone COMPOSE, what this man is playing.

  • speed is no measure of skill, i gave up trying to be an amazing, fast player years ago, now its all about passion and fun

  • just because dragonforce is crazy fast paced doesnt mean its bad or nothing, mr. nogert.

if your gonna set standards against music bashing, you shouldn't go about using band names with negative connotations

  • im df fan on my own but i totally agree.

and to me it sounds bit epic ;)

  • And has anyone seen him play Isabella?

    He's rockin'.

  • its maybe not so hard to play but he play with some awsome feeling..

  • Beside the desire to be viewed as an ass,

I don't really see the point of sarcasm here.

  • Agreed.

  • u got no feel ChristianCoz

    ur an asshole

  • He's not an asshole, just an incompetent queef with no perception of harmony and composition. Just don't pay attention to him.

  • It's not about how many notes you can hit in a seconds, no matter what you play if it sounds good it sounds good. I bet you're a dragon force fan aren't you. gtfo.

  • wow that was just amazing.

  • to sum up, i think everyone would agree with me that all musicians featured on rpoland are the best in their field, although not everyone has the same likings and tastes, as well as a favorite player.

let's face it, what counts for all of us is the impact that these musicians have brought to us all..

    peace out!

  • When the world is ready for healing music will be the medicine. Thanks Dean.

  • Have you listened to Isabella?

  • thats why i love this instrument, you can play so simple and still so beautiful

  • somebody tab this, now!

  • it's awesome ;)

  • its so...calming

  • That was simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  • Beauty! ***** All the best!

  • whoa! nylon strings!

  • Yeah, noticed that too! Funny eh :D

  • lilmark816 - you're a dick for saying something that stupid.

  • Forget it man, just push play again and close your eyes. I don't really think Dean Magraw needs to be defended.

  • Thank you for 5 minutes of peacefull bliss. close your eyes and just listen, you'll see what I mean.

  • Dear Dean,

    Sublime!

You are a true extension of "All-that-is"!

    May your God bless you.

    Thank you for posting.

    Best regards

    Staffan

  • Really? I'd love to see a 6 year old top this guy.

Unless of course you're full of crap.

    Almost forgot my /sarcasm.

This man has more talent in his smallest toe then you have in your entire body, and he's probably smarter then your entire family tree. Your parents need a course on raising children, maybe you could have turned out better.

  • haha ouch

    but so true

  • even if its not hard to play, i bet your 6yr old cant write a piece of music as beautiful as this. Besides that, check out his other videos, he way more talented than you even know.

  • Masterful. Beautiful. Dean Magraw is certainly a master of his art.

By the way, this is off of an excellent album as well... Dean Magraw Foxfire, I think.

  • yep, great album, great guitar player, amazing feeling.

  • Great tone.

  • thank you Dean : )

  • Edward Norton's evil (talented) older twin brother!

  • you can't listen to this song and not be at peace. :)

  • neither listen to it just once!

  • Damn... I clicked 4 stars and I meant to give it 5!

  • simple and beautiful...it's all about the feeling

  • oh this is more than wonderfull it,s magic

    greets

    ender

  • Dean's good but I just don't like how he's only down strumming with his thumb with the chord changes.

  • How many other guitar players use the thumb strumming technique? Not many. So it is unique.

  • Is da same concept using a pick XD

  • You get a different sound with using your thumb. A more softer sound. You can hear the differences in using a pick and your thumb.

  • most relaxing song ever

  • Lovely!

  • Sounded absolutely beautiful..

    : )

  • Simply, Wow.

  • Love it!

  • Great sound!

  • really inspired music, i can get the feeling in it, thats the songs i like

  • So simple.. But oh, so beutiful!

  • Dean McGraw knows what he was doing when he wrote this song. Whether a song is good or not they all have their reasons for writing the song that way.

  • it's not that the song is bad, i think the music is ok it just kind of sounds like somthing out of the 1500 or so . i have been playing for 23 yaers and take a lot from this man in to my own playing but not every one is going to like all of the same things as the next but ya he is one of the top players on the goodies list. keep jammen out.

  • I know what you mean stoneexpress. I like Dean Magraw, but some of his tunes just kind of remind me of chilling out listening to a mate tinkering on whatever guitar's lying around at the time. By no means a bad thing, and it's good to see the much-maligned nylon strings get a show :) Always nice to listen to Dean, even if it's more P than IMA :)

  • YAY!!i love this guy!!!sounds great brother!!!

  • this tune tells me tales!!! i can totally imagine this on a harp, great feel. simple but HIGH QUALITY!

  • That was great, inspiring!

  • Gorgeous.

  • I'm going to listen to this video every day for the rest of my life.

  • New shirt, new guitar and a new song at the same time. Man this is good.

  • beautiful

  • awesome

  • indeed beautiful

  • Beutiful

  • The nylon makes this piece.

  • I love Dean Mcgraw. His music evokes a story that each person can interpret in their own way.

  • I dunno I just listen to it, I don't do that with music.

  • Beautiful theme and great guitar sound !!!

  • wow, a new shirt!

  • its a nice song, but a little boring and simple

  • on the surface maybe.

You suggest simple is a bad thing?

  • woaahh... beautiful.

  • wow the nylon strings are making quite a run! awesome

  • 9th! great, but i prefer eva arriving:p

  • Amzing, back to Dean Magraw I see - He's my favorite on Rpoland, love it. :)

  • They both have different styles of playing, you can't compare them. If someone likes this style more then that's their opinion.

  • I've heard everyone on rpoland, and let me tell you Mckee is not my favorite. Yes, he's the one that has more technical resources by his side, but you have to remember this is about music, not pyrotechnics. Besides, it's all about taste. If I had to pick one guy from rpoland, it would be Magraw or Dufour, not Mckee.

  • yeah like you said its about taste. my fav is dufour

  • rpoland has nothing to do with andy mckee really. it's a question about taste.

  • i love Andy Mckee,i like this guy just as much,i can't put my finger on it the music he plays and they way plays it inspire the shit out of me!

  • Oi, I've heard everyone on rpoland, Andy Mckee is my second favorite.

I just like this kind best.

Sorry to not have your music taste, but this is mine.

  • andy mckee is good, his melodies are fantastic and he definitely has a more modern sound but dean magraw has a talent for using incredibly simple riffs and progressions that just sound breathtaking

its not about technical ability (though i can quite imagine magraw being able to blast out some incredible shit and just choosing not too), its about music and only someone very immature would make a comment like that

  • Have you listened to Isabella? Or Fire Fox... This man has the most incredible right-hand technique I think I've ever seen.

  • i agree with you. even the simplest riffs and progressions would still sound as nice. and that everyone, even for guitar starters like me can have the chance to learn to play this. for me, this song is truly a fine piece of work from a gifted musician..

  • amazing

  • Wow that was beautiful :)
