  • dam i want to live near a kudo dojo. or a very good kyokushin dojo.

  • kudo is kyoshinkai + judo = awesome fighting system.

  • @DrSanchez666 all this complicated japanese shit is worthless compared to old good kick boxing

  • @dimonalmaty you should know that kick-boxing is karate, both western and eastern kick-boxing were created around the 70's... they just took out the elbows, knees, rolling and falling kicks, spinning backfist, etc... and voilá kick-boxing, which awesome, but kyokushin, or kudo... those are hardcore.

  • @kobuden And Karate Is Taken From Kung Fu !!!! So Whats Then ?

  • @dimonalmaty you do know that old good kick boxing is japanese right?

  • @dimonalmaty lmao apparently you didn't know kickboxing is of japanese origin.

  • @GregYong How exactly is kickboxingof japanese origin?

  • @ATACXGYM modern kickboxing originates from japanese organized kickboxing in the 1960's, which was greatly influenced by the original SE kickboxing styles and karate.

  • @GregYong Ahhh. You mean a specific variant of kickboxing, which I'm quite familiar with.I was under the impression that you might actually think that kicking and punching--the essence of kickboxing--is the creation of Japanese or any Oriental style when Africa has murals older than China showing it to be the clear and undisputed creator of martial arts period, and what would later be called Muay Boran and Muay Thai especially.Complete with the handwraps dipped in resin and glass, etc.

  • In red Beslan Dashaev kudoka from Chechen Republic, in white - japanise kudoka.

  • Where was this from?

  • Kudo is Japanese, it is old version of Karate using basically anything to well... Beat the crap out of the guy in front of you, it was made for fighting agenst people in wars and stuff, I belive Kudo was the original Karate sence real fights arnt controld, this is what real fight looks uncontrold =)

  • I meant where was this competition held. I know the background of Kudo. And technically, a lot of karate practitioners do not consider Daidojuku to be karate. They consider it its own martial art (Kudo). I believe the main reason is because they stopped practicing kata.

  • Kata is stupid to me... I hate Kata, its boring and annoying... In Krav Maga we just fight lol I did Judo for 3 years and I learned more about a real fight in like a week in Krav Maga then I ever did in Judo. Of course in Krav Maga sparring I can win almost every match that ends up either grappling or on the ground. But I like the weapon defence and my new street threat sense I moved to USA... gun. My worst fear about move to USA is many people have gun... So I need learn to fight one...

  • The essence of karate is found in kata. I learn a lot from kata, including techniques in street defense, weapon defense, and using weapons. Krav Maga is cool, too. I'd be interested in learning. As for guns in USA, my number one solution is carrying one myself. I have a permit to do so. Number two solution is karate.

  • I was raised in Japan and never held a gun in my life... In Japan most gangs use martial arts and martial art weapons like nunchaku and rattan sticks...My father make me choose a martial art, I didnt want to. I pick Judo because in Japanese that means "Soft way" but... its not very soft lol Most girls dont thin about fighting im one of them I pictured one situation, one guy grab me, I can use judo to throw him and then run, but now I learned in Krav Maga streets is more danger than that.

  • I lived in Japan when I was little, too. My brothers did judo and kendo. I was too young for any of it. After moving to U.S., we all wrestled in high school. Now we all do karate. My sister currently lives in Japan, but she also does karate.

My philosophy on martial arts is that you can adapt just about any martial art to be effective on the street. You just need to train with that mind set. The important thing is that you practice SOMETHING.

So good luck with your Krav Maga training. Osu!

  • In Krav Maga most of our grappling we learn is Judo (sometimes modified to be meaner than usual) Your right though, they are all good, Judo is good on streets just stay away from ground fighting =P I didnt know you was a Japanese too =D USA is great too =)

  • How do you do that!?! I cant write in Japanese on my computer and I dont know why!!! I HATE write in english to my father its so stupid! Where do you buy the program or get it or whatever you need to do... Please help me... I want write in Japanese too...

  • What is your operating system?

  • Umm... maby Windows HP, On the screen (On the plastic part not the glass) It says

HP w2007 is that what you mean???

  • I meant if you were on Windows XP or Vista or Mac OSX, but it's ok. I'm on Windows XP, so I apologize if it doesn't work.

Select "Control Panel" from the Start menu. Then select "Date, Time, Languages, and Regional Options". Then select "Add other languages". This will take you to "Regional and Language Options". From the "Languages" tab, click on "Details". You should see 'US English' in the "Installed Services" area. Click on "Add" and select Japanese from the drop down menu.

  • The input type should be automatically selected as 'Microsoft IME Standard'. Click "OK".

This should do it. The most difficult part, I think is getting to the "Regional and Language Options". Otherwise, it should be pretty simple (I think it's the same for Vista once you get there).

    Good luck!

  • I will try, thanks! =D

I will also ask my boyfriend when he gets home, he is American so his english is better than mine xD

  • you need a japanese key

    board lol

  • Isn't Kudo (or Daidojuku) very recent, being a mixture of Judo and Kyokushin?

  • @htornis Kind of, but as far as I know in kudo there are hits in ground fight but in judo, well no :D

  • @htornis it was as i've been told made in the 80's because in Japan the majority of people who did martial arts did more then one so it's no wonder the best 2 would be combined
