Made these myself earlier tonight, with a couple substitutions (since I couldn't be bothered going to the store again). Turned out great!
- No squash in mine, but i did add grated potato. As such i had to keep it under water for a bit so it didn't brown. This increased the cook time in the oven to about 30 minutes.
- Didn't have green chilis, so I just tossed some crushed red pepper into the pan instead and compensated with extra garlic.
I swear i laughed for the whole video, his voice and the way he talks about the balls and even the skip this eggs part sounding liek the sex.... I love Indians
Chef, seriously, your balls are amaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzziiinngg!!! No joke, these were just wonderful!!! I did mine with carrot, zucchini, and buttercup squash added to the plantain and it was so flavorful and delicious! It was a wee bit spicy for me because I am still a little sick so I made a yogurt dip with cilantro and a pinch of salt and I dipped my balls and my naan it it. SO good! Thanks for sharing, chef!!!!

I would like you to post the 'Ice Biriyani' recipe.
Confused? Ice Biriyiani is nothing but Left Over rice + water + onion garnish... Goes well with pickle... It is eaten by peasents and villagers. I am sure you must have tasted it.
I found a recipe for it in the net But it is missing the VahChef's majic. Can you please cook this simple recipe for us
I tried this recipe but instead of plantain I used potato...it came out awesome! thanks chef! I really love all your recipes....can you show some more low calorie indian recipes>...thanks
Chef, how can you eat food that is straight from the stove? I can see that it is steaming when you eat in most of your videos. You must have a mouth of steel. :)
Can we use Arbi instead of plantain.. I think we can.. I'll try it and let u know how it turns :) thank u for the recipe.. Love all ur recipes.. I have tried all ur paneer dishes.. they r just awesome..

Is it possible to cook these veggi balls in slow cooker rather than oven? I have tried before in diff variation before this video but was not successful. I think maybe the 300+ degree heat is required to get proper chemical transformation into cooked balls. I am scared to try the meat balls because of food safety without high heat. but people do cook meat in slow cooker regularly. Was wondering if anyone knew before I invest time, money and energy into trying veggi balls. Thanks.
You can add tomato gravy in the end at the stage of tossing the balls with garlic. So, that it would turn out as gravy and you can keep the balls size as small meal makers. so that it would be as perfect gravy stuff to go with roti's..
Now, make juice out of peeled non-seeds tomato pieces and add it to the fried garlic , onions in the end and let it cook for a while. Add balls after the gravy is ready.
Ofcourse...he is a grt cook..I have tried his onion samosa...my hubby liked it so much tat the very nxt day he wand me to cook again...all thanks to u sanjay...plz reply to my previous post..waitin fr it...cheers

You can add tomato gravy in the end at the stage of tossing the balls with garlic. So, that it would turn out as gravy and you can keep the balls size as small meal makers. so that it would be as perfect gravy stuff to go with roti's..

To make tomato gravy:
Take nice red ripen tomatoes,
Peel of the skin
cut them into halves
Remove the seeds
Now, make juice out of peeled non-seeds tomato pieces and add it to the fried garlic , onions in the end and let it cook for a while. Add balls after the gravy is ready.
Hope you like this tip.
