How so? The notes are all the same as the original. Sure, I couldn't play it as well as Tony Iommi when I made this video, but this is note for note the same. He plays it all in the same position, but I played it more spread out across the fretboard. You do understand that there is more than one of each note on a guitar, right? So as long as I'm hitting the right notes, I can play it wherever I want. This way sounds better than playing it all at the 12th fret in my opinion.

@wingchisao the problem is that not only the fret positions are wrong..you made mistakes also with the rythm...and the very last part after the hammers on and pulls off should be played in the same part of the neck, but as you said every one can chose where to play...but honestly i didn't like it (sorry for the english but i'm italian)

If you went and found another way to play it, that's great! I can play the solo three different ways, but this is the one I like the best. you slide to the 14th fret on the third string, then hit 2nd string 12th fret, 1st string 12th fret, 2nd string 15th fret and bend 1 whole step up twice. then hit 1st string 12th fret, 2nd string 12th fret, then 1st string 15th fret, and bend up a whole step 3 times. coming off the third bend you pull off to the 12th fret. then hit 15th fret and pull off to the 12th again and hit the 2nd string on the 15th fret.

do the same thing once more, then hit the 2nd string 15th fret and pull off to the 12th fret. then hit the 3rd string 14th fret and bend a half step up. hit 2nd string 12th fret, 1st string 12th fret, 2nd string 15th fret, pull off to the 12th fret. hit 3rd string 14th fret, 3rd string 12th fret, 4th string 14th fret, 3rd string 12th fret, 3rd string 14th fret and bend a half step up, then hit 3rd string 12th fret.

i dont use tabs. i used my ears. the recording of almost all of sabbath's old stuff is kinda muddy. i watched lots of other people's videos before i made mine, and i put the mp3 into slowgold.exe to slow it down without changing the pitch. i think mine sounds good the way it is, but some say it's off. i really have no desire to "be" iommi, just wanted to learn the song and share it. mostly good response so far. thanks! and yes epi lp special II...great value for the $!
