Ho-lee shit, that is AWESOME. I would have NEVER expected to see LaserDisc arcade games on the I-Phone. Revolutionary Concepts even kept the original Engrish, too. I wonder if they will port the original arcade version of Time Gal.
This is my most played Sega CD game ever (never fortunate enough to find an arcade cabinet of it). Seriously, I played the shit out of this game. I don't think I could ever quite beat it, though!:(
Brilliant brilliant! pumped more than my share of pocket money in this baby in 1985! Well done on this great game! Love to time travel backwards and show people of 1985 I have this on a iphone! Well done! It looks and sounds better than the original too!
So you have a sequel? by Data East? I heard one was being made, but never saw any footage of it!
For all you young people, the unforgiving nature of this game my not be for you. But this is how we played games in the old school.
Thanks jpicard. Tell your friends wives cousins brother in law! The more people we can bring back to 1984 the more effort we can put into the unofficial sequel. *Not a helicopter game hint hint ;)
Cobra Command by Data East is not to be confused with their 1988 horizontal shooter. The 1984 one is known in Japan as Thunder Storm. This battle chopper also appears in the garage at the beginning of the arcade and identical home ports of Technos Japan's Double Dragon II: The Revenge. The red car from Road Blaster/Road Avenger also appears in the garage at the beginning of the first Double Dragon arcade, some of its identical ports and Double Dragon Advance. All because of Yoshihisa Kishimoto.
Makes me wanna get the iPhone.
