  • cess... well, in my case, i suppose to need no visa to Dijbouti but I was requested to get my on-arrival visa at the land border from ethiopia to djibouti. It is not painful but need to wait some times with all other people on the same bus. You can also get visa in dijboutian embassy in Dire Dawa . I did not feel safe when walking in dijbouti city and people were not friendly. They did not like tourist to shoot photo on them. And you should be careful with walking inside squatter area.

  • zenoyu, you seem to be a man after my own heart - visiting strange lands to see even stranger sights! I'm actually thinking of biding Djibouti quite soon and found your video very interesting. I have a few questions if you have time. Did you get a visa on arrival, and if so, was it a painless procedure? Also, when you were walking around the city, did you feel safe? Is taking photos okay?

  • Is this place falling apart like Sudan or are things getting better there (long term).
