Well it was animation error on the part of the original creators... Shoji Kawamori, the designer of the valkyries did not make any specifications for it and noted that it was animation error. If he considered it to be be a different unit he should have made specifications in the masterfile he usually creates.
It's not in the macross saga, just in the robotech one. He is a caracter from the video game robotech battlecry and i have heard he's part of comics...
Hello guys i wanted to ask if anybody can help me!I want to buy a robotech valkyrie figure!What should i choose?Yamato,Toynami.something else?i want the best!!! please help me!!!
you know all of the fanboys swear by the yamato ver. and yes they are really nice toys, but very expensive and fragile. if u want something that you are are only going to display, get a yamato. if u want something that you will wanna take out and transform a couple of times and play with, get a toynami. you can get one for a decent price on ebay. one prob i have with the toynami ver,. is that they have pretty loose joints, and arent very accurate in detail
It came with broken parts already ?and you haven't even touched it? isn't that supposed to be an issue with the shipper/seller? I got my yamato 1/60 with no damaged parts whatsoever and it's still in good condition even after a lot of play and transformation. But yeah I definitely agree about the durability of the bandai macross toys, you just need to be careful when handling yamato toys and it will last long.
Yes, it cames with broken part without I touch it. There absolutly news, bought in shop like hlj. for the kwnowest one. For exemple, my three vf0 have the shoulder broken. Same thing for the new 1/60 vf1s (but the vf1d is fine) some of 1/48eme have pieces who wasn't be adjust, the yf19 has a broken neck, the Ivanov plane has broken leg... But I am not a lucky guy ^^
do u do customs get a body of a VF-1A and get the head of a one VF-1R and put it together and paint it brown to have a new and improved version so you don't have to remove the shield or modify your 1R to fold the shield in like the other veritechs

What the different between the MP robotech Veritech and the Macross Valkyrie ?
Neoguest 1 year ago
@Neoguest
The name of the pilot, existence of yf1r.

What do you mean by the best ?
- Bandai/takatoku vf1 are very solid
- Yamato make beautyful toys but it's easy to broke up, it's not already broke up in the box :S
My favorites are yamato 1/60 squale...

thanks very much mate been craving a model/toy from Robotech since i was watching the series when i was young!!!

thank you very much for the info hope i choose wisely!!!

@artnandez Wrong! It's better to get the bandai/takatoku 1/55 valkyrie, toynami is more fragile compared to the chunky monkey.

wasm't this suppose to be the VF-1A? blah... must've been the robotech version when they started to change the name...

Vf1 A has just one laser.
The 1R have 3 lasers.
You right, it's from robotech universe : the video game Robotech battlecry. It's not my favorit one, I prefer the real Macross series and toys.
Nexxfr 2 years ago
@Nexxfr
It's actually in the Robotech and (therefore) original SDF Macross series.

@jwasko

@Nexxfr Um i can't tell you the the number but it's during the last 5 or 6 when they're re-building, it's a blink and you'll miss it sort a thing

yamato 1/60 is still the better choice even it's not limited edition.

the majority of my yamato came with broken part, beautyful plane but not good quality. Bandai toy are more solid.
And the yf1r is just interesting for a collection, for expose macross plane, I agree, yamato is the best.
